Beautiful dress. I'd say it runs large as most Tommy Bahama products do. I'm 5'3 and 140 pounds and the XS fit perfectly. If you truly are an XS size this will likely be too big for you. The length skims my ankles so a true maxi for short folk but I love I can wear with flats and don't need heels to make it work. The edging around the arm hole sticks out a bit so if you are worried about looking broad at the chest that might be an issue. My main negative - there is no cotton lining in the skirt portion, which at this price point I think should be mandatory. Without a lining I think you'll need to wear a slip so it's not too sheer in the sunlight.
