These run true to size so am not sure why Zappos recommended a size smaller. I've had some Allegria styles that ran big like that, so trusted the Zappos recommendation, but not these. These are definitely too short. Very comfy though! I'll be returning for my regular size 42. I also have the Debra and like that these have a lower heel. These are wide enough not to irritate my Morton's Neuroma, too, which is great.

I ordered my usual size and while the shoes fit, they were very uncomfortable. The upper is very stiff. There’s very little support in the insole. They felt and looked clunky. Wore them for a few hours around the house and knew I’d never be able to wear them for an entire shift of standing and walking.

I'm in love with Alegria shoes for their clog feel, and great support. You can walk all day in these shoes! They are a bit square toed in shape but I don't mind having the toe room. The leather is very nice and they are easy to slide on and off with no sharp edging at the heel. This is the shoe you want for mall walking. I bought an 8 and wear 8 in all other shoes as well.

Excellent quality, very comfortable shoes!

This pair was in the final selection group. The shoes are well made. The reason I didn't keep them is they put a little pressure on my big toe. So close to being the right pair for me.

This is my first pair of Alegria, I love these shoes so far!

I originally purchased size 8-8.5 but were too small. I returned them for a size 9 and they fit just fine. So far I have worn them for multiple 12 hour shifts in a hospital setting with no issues. Great shoes!!

I wear an 8 and half or a 39 - my big toe was fully on the end of the shoe so I have to return it. However, other than the toe bump, the shoe felt very comfortable. I'm a little afraid of ordering up a size because usually the heal will be too wide. I'm shopping on zappos for a replacement.

As other reviewers have commented, the toe boot of these shoes is hard - feels as hard as a steel reinforced work boot. So I’ve had to return these shoes.

I really wanted to be able to use this shoe for my 12-hour nursing shift to replace my Danskos. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a good fit in the size 41 or 42. The 41 was too snug on the right foot, but a perfect fit on the left. The 42 was entirely too big and the shoes flopped off my feet similar to the way Dansko clogs fit. I normally wear between a size 10 ½-11 depending on the shoe. The shoes are not the most stylish and my 11 year old daughter laughed at the shape. I definitely prefer the style of Dansko clogs over these. I ended up returning both sizes.

I like the style Leather was soft I never got past the shortness of the shoe so I can’t tell you if it was comfortable I heard many things about these shoes that’s why I tried them But they do run small ?

They are too small. Have not returned them yet.
