Customer Reviews Dunham 8000 Works Moc Waterproof Boot

Very nice boots but I have 2 minor complaints. 1. These are ankle length boots with thread through eyes to the top. Would be much easier to put on if the last two set of eyes were lace hooks instead. Also no real finger loop in the back to help pull them on. 2. The laces are very cheap and thin. They won't last. They're also about 2 feet too long so they have to be cut off and the end melted to keep from fraying. It seems that a lot of shoes now come with far too long laces. I'm happy with my purchase and would but them again.

Compared to the 8000 plain toe it is narrower as the toe box tappers more. So the choice for best fit is not the moc toe. Quality of the leather and stitching seems good but just too narrow. I'll keep the plain toe--fits great on my goose shape feet.

I based my sizing on a pair of Dunham hiking boots I ordered last year that I was very happy with. Although the new work boots feel about a half size too small and a bit snug in the width compared to the hikers (I think a 12 6E would have been perfect), they are not uncomfortable. The boots have an amazing bounce in the step which is great because I am a big guy... well over 300Ibs and offer suprising support. Over all, I am very happy and would buy again, just a bit bigger next time.

Very solid, great stitching. Hope to get lots of wear from them.

My only criticism is the top two set of lacing GROMMETS vs the half open gizmos ? I am used to??? I would like to find 8 of those and fasten them to my otherwise PERFECT boots!!!

The boots are a perfect fit. My husband has talked about how much he is enjoying the higher top boots.

The 4E fits my husband’s wide feet perfectly. He hasn’t worn the higher top work shoe in several years but can’t stop talking about how much more support they have and he is totally pleased with them.

I am very happy with these boots. This is the first time my feet truly feel comfortable in a boot.

I purchased these for a friend who has very wide feet and has trouble finding good boots. He loves these and feel great. He is very satisfied and thinks that they are good quality boots.

Like the 8000 steel toe : the moc toe is also comfortable and the interior dementions are of proper design for my feet: I'm very happy with the fit and comfort that the Dunham brand work boots offer, Thank you for a great product in the shoe industry.

Very nice boot. 6e is like a 2e. Wish they had a 9e so it’d be like a 4E lol.

True to size ,nice looking boots

Fit and size - terrible! I could not get my foot into the boot. I compared it to the same Denham I had bought 5 years ago. Everything with regards width and shape profile has changed and, for me, for the worse. The material and construction are still excellent. So, why don't you go out and find out why the size parameters have altered so much.

I am going to return these boots. Handsome and well made but totally unwearable. A 4E that I could not get into! What has happened at Dunham.

Its odd seeing other reviews saying these felt small. I wear a 10.5 and I'm sending back the 10 and 10.5 I ordered to try on because they are too big. I'm ordering a 9 and 9.5 to try on next. Like all Dunham boots the footbed is curved up in the front. That usually causes achy feet for me.

this boot fit the "most similar" to my previous Dunham shoes. I attribute their snugness to being new. However...I could not get my "heel area" to fit/tighten-up properly. I tried different socks, etc. I think they would rub a blister, so am returning. The boots are a little heavy, but quite sturdy, & look very nice. I must use orthodics, which worked well w/ this boot.

After one use I had blisters on both feet. Back to Ecco I guess. You get what you pay for.

Difficult to even put on. Too small for a 6E width, and the number 10 length was cramped. Pinched my foot. Ordering a half size larger from another shoemaker. Ended up returning this item.
