I made the mistake of letting several reviews convince me that this particular shoe runs big. I have worn Borns forever and they ALWAYS run small. I typically wear an 8 1/2 and always need a 9 in Borns. But I ordered the 8 1/2 and of course it was too small. The 9 works well. I have a medium width foot and the whole shoe is comfortable. These shoes have a little bit of give. I am wearing a thin sock right now but am sure I could also wear a thicker sock. I think these shoes are really cute and Born is notoriously comfortable. I also love ordering through Zappos. Their delivery is speedy and they make returns very easy. They have the formula down!

I bought 6, the smallest size, but maybe a 5.5 would have fit me better. While I love that there's room for my wiggling toes, the heel part is a bit loose that my left foot slides a little, and thus, a blister! I attached heel grips, though they were only a little help, and I put on a blister bandage. Hopefully, this is only because the shoes are new and that my feet will adjust.

Born shoes are reliably comfortable. This shoe runs a bit large, fine for me, as I’ll be wearing them with winter socks.

The fit was big for me, the feel of the upper material and sole were great , a beautiful well made shoe. Just did not fit me.

Love the roomy toebox (for bunions) yet streamlined, and that they're leather, not plastic materials. The shoes are comfy and supportive with cushiony soles. and will be great for this winter, bought two pair, black and tan nubuck. I'm size 8.5-9 and the size 9 is a good fit. They are a unique design, very slightly dorky which explains my 4 stars.

I wanted to love these, but not enough support in arch. I have plantar facitis and have broken my foot in the past.

Good fit. I have a bunion and hammer toe and the toe box was just right for my foot.

I ordered my regular size shoes but they were too small, so exchanged them for a half size bigger. These shoes are wonderful! I've had serious trauma to my ankles/feet and have a really difficult time finding shoes that are supportive and comfortable. I was expecting to have problems (pain) breaking them in, but there was none. Ae in ZERO the first time I put them on. Super happy with these shoes!

Wore them yesterday shopping and never noticed they were new. Very comfortable cushioned heel. The leather is flawless.

I have a high arch so the shoes didn't stretch enough, when my feet were in them, to feel comfortable.

I am not sure what the other reviewers are talking about these running small. I am a true 7.5 and the 7.5 size fit perfectly. Comfortable from the first wear. I have wide-ish feet and the top does not dig into the top of my foot. Sizing for me is spot on.

I read reviews prior to purchasing the shoe and followed advice from several buyers to buy a half size smaller than my usual size 7. That advice resulted in the perfect fit.

All of the reviews say that these run large with a roomy tow box- They are super narrow and tight on me. Exchanging for a 1/2 size up.

The shoe is true to size and very comfortable. There is an ample toe box and no heal slippage. The shoe is very well made.
