Instead of writing a bad review of a competitor, I figured why not write a good review of the genuine real deal? Not sure if this is still available, but I have the 17 oz classic food container and all I can say it is works. One of my favorite uses is when I head up to go skiing and stop and fill it with soup first thing on a 2 hour drive and then enjoy it for lunch on the mountain. It will have been in either my truck or in a backpack in single digit F temps and be the same temp as when I poured it 6-8 hours earlier. I have never had an issue of leakage either. I typically don't use the bowl included but look at it as insurance for my food staying hot and just in case something were to be put away messy.
Bottom line, stick with the folks who have been doing this for over 100 years.

Had about ten years now, cup got dropped so many times, it finally developed a crack! Yeah, my fault yet stanley sent another replacement cup out with a seal for the worn out one, duh, ten years of hard use as a lineman, OTR driver, many other adventures and it just won't quit! I LOVE my Stanley food jar/ thermos. Seems to me it will outlast my old behind. ( as they say ) to be continued...

Stellar product, I carry it everywhere. I usually fill it with ice and water and drink out of throughout the day, always keeps it cold even outdoors all day in summers of 115 degrees F +. Last winter I filled it with boiling hot water and took it to work with a soup packet for lunch. It was Friday and I put it in my locker and forgot it until Monday, opened it up and it was still hot! I use it everyday all day and it has stood up to everything I have thrown at it.

I am using this jar for my tea in winter or cold drinks in spring and summer. No issues at all after two years of everyday usage. Once a while I am using baking soda with hydrogen peroxide and boiling water to remove residue. Product is likely new. Only one concern is rubber seal. I afraid that will deteriorate the same as for my 14 oz food jar and I will be not able to get replacement part.

Perfect size for adult and teenagers to bring lunch anywhere. Do not leak, stay hot like it;s just out of the oven. Great product!

Exactly what I needed. Keeps hot food hot, and kept a frozen tamale frozen for hours until i was ready to microwave it at school. a bit bulky/dense but worth it

Best on market for value and price very satisfying to have hot meals hours after putting in container. Perfect for remote rig and oilfield locations for cold days.

I use this for my coffee and tea I had NO IDEA this was for food. I work in a warehouse and need something to keep my drinks warm so that I stay warm. This SHOCKED me! It kept my drinks HOT as though I just poured them! I looked everywhere for this exact one to buy more and low and ended up having to look on the website. I mean, its works this amazing and I wasn't even using it correctly!

These are well worth the money. I bought four of these for my kids to use to take warm food in their lunches. They use these nearly every day.

I got this food jar for my boyfriend for when he's at school or on the job. He says the more liquidy the goodies are, the hotter they stay in the Stanley. He wishes the mouth opening was a bit wider as it can be tricky to get food into the jar sometimes without some spillage. Overall a dope purchase! Love the textured green color. We hope it lasts for years to come!

Great purchase. I use it for my daughters lunches. Soup stays warm for about 4-5 hours. Warm liquids seem to last longer. Warm meals or pieces of warm food last about 4 hours. The only food I put in and wasn't successful was small pieces of pizza. They got cold pretty fast. It's easy to wash and care for.

This is the BEST, absolute BEST hot food storage container on earth. If I make soup to take with me to work at 7 am and break it out at 1pm to eat, Its still super hot, like it just came off the stove. This thing is amazing.

this thing is great for anyone who works outside. having this on the job site with me has brightened my day on so many cold or wet days and it has held up to falling off of several tailgates and ledges just fine. a truly great product

Have used Stanley thermo models over the last 4+ decades with great success. This wide-mouth 24 ounce food jar will fit my newly ordered lunch box, for use when out for the day flying my model airplanes or at night surf fishing. Just the thing to carry and deliver desired hot or cold foods where a food truck won't be found!
And,it was delivered to my mail box with having to shop for it at a big box store! Nice!

I am beyond happy with this purchase! At first I was hesitant because I could find less expensive food jars elsewhere. But Stanley is known for their quality so I went with this one. I have been bringing soup to work and it is always hot. I heat the soup in the morning and 6-7hrs later when I take lunch it's still really hot and not just warm. I've even put this food jar in a lunchbox with an icepack to bring cold snacks and the soup in the jar still stays hot.

I have been struggling with keeping my soup work hear in MN. I work outside for most of the winter. It gets -40 degrees. I forgot my lunch Stanley lunch box in the bed of the truck once and the soup was just as hot and delicious as the moment I poured it in the thermos.

We have one of these food jars for soup/stew and yes....one for our ice cream. When we bag a peak then the ice cream comes out. A little heavy for this but worth it! They have taken a beating over the years but it is only cosmetic and still performs!

Huge and heavy, this vacuum bottle is durable. I've had the Aladdin 2-qt vacuum bottle (but it mysteriously disappeared after relocating) so I know how reliable the insulation is and about the lifetime guarantee. I've only had the 24-oz food jar a few days and have been filling it with ice cubes and water to cool off during this season-long heatwave. What a lifesaver it is! After my last fill-up late at night, I finally fell asleep and woke up in the morning to icy cold water (the best hydration when I wake up). It neatly fits inside the dome of the large Stanley Classic Lunch Box (hammered green with double latches), but doesn't fit in the smaller Stanley Classic Lunch Box (5.5-qt hammered navy with the single latch). I ordered the food jar with the Stanley One-Handed Branded Mug (Crimson) since the mug fits in the smaller lunch box's dome lid. I also have the Stanley 14-oz Adventure Food Jar (hammered green) that I use almost daily. It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold. I've never timed the temperature consistency duration but hot stays hot all day, and cold stays cold a full day. Fast delivery, well padded inside the shipping box, no hidden damages during transit.
