Very comfortable and good looking

This is a gorgeous boot, that unfortunately I have to return. I believe it fits fairly true to size, except in the heel area. My foot is an E/2E toe box, and a D/E heel. The boot fits pretty well in the toe and midfoot area, but the ankle opening is gigantic and would slip halfway off my foot just trying to take a step in my room. The loose ankle fit isn't helped by being only a two-eyelet design, so the laces only really go halfway up your foot. Felt well-made, and would have been really comfortable if it was a more snug ankle opening. This would probably be perfect for someone with very thick ankles, which I think all the Clarks chukka designs really tend to lend themselves towards.

I usually wear a 11.5 with orthotic inserts. These come with a big padded insole which made the 11.5 feel way too snug. I tried a 11, took out the insoles, added some Dr. Scholls, put my inserts in, and was good to go.

Nice looking boot. Fit is a little bigger with wide toe box. Go a half size down from normal sneaker size

I usually buy a 10. These were a little big and my heel and ankle kept slipping out. The M width was wide enough.

Gave these 4 stars only because the sizing is off. They run quite large. Definitely order a size down. Otherwise they are very nice boots.

I have a narrow foot. Sometimes a medium works for me and sometimes not. Sorry that i must return these classic brogans. Nice shoes. Thanks Zappos.

Originally, I ordered a half size down from my normal size but had to return them and get medium width as well (I normally wear wide). The shoes are still plenty big enough at the smaller size. Thank you to customer service for handling the exchange

had to send back both pairs. just to big. Clarks should consider three eyelet instead of two eyelet

Had to send back 9.5w and 9w. will try again at another time. Clarks should consider 3 eyelet instead of 2.

The new Bushacre 3 has much more cushioning built into the insole, but unfortunately, they made the heels larger for some reason. I really wanted to keep them, but no matter how tight I laced them, my heels slid up & down. I've been wearing Clarks chukka boots for many years now, and they've always fit perfectly....until now:-( I would suggest ordering 1/2 size down from your normal shoe size.

It’s unclear to me why the Bushacre offers more width options, a better sole and exactly the same shoe profile for substantially less then the flagship desert boot - but that’s the case.

The shoes did not fit very well. Too high on the ankle for walking comfort. Will look for something else.

Seemed too narrow; hard sole was uncomfortable.

I agree with the other reviewer- there are only 2 holes for shoe lace and it only goes across the top of our foot, There is no way to tighten the area around your ankle at all and the shoe does not stay on. Your entire heel lifts up first, and then your foot comes out. I was going to cut more holes in them like the other reviewer did, but why spend all this money on a shoe just to poke holes in it?

Ordered these for my husband and he is happy with them overall. However, he says they feel loose around the ankle, and he would prefer a tighter fit there. They are the right size though, and I think if he sized down the foot would be cramped. They're stylish, yet comfy, and he can wear them both to work or out and about.

The shoe fit but was lose across the top. I think one more set of eyelets would have worked to make them snug.

I had my first pair of desert boots in the 60s and remember them being unusually comfortable. Well, nothing has changed. It turns out they are touch too long, but nothing to worry about. The width is perfect.

I normally wear a 9.5 wide. Based on reviews I read I ordered a 9 wide. They feel big and my heel kept slipping. Other than that they were comfortable with good cushioning in the sole. Just way to big.

I love everything about these chukkas but fair warning about the two lace up holes. You would have an i unusually high instep and thick ankles to wear these without poking two extra holes. I assumed that’s why mine were on sale. Super comfy now that I’ve customized.
