I own several Stanley products and this one is a failure. It doesn't keep coffee hot for very long . 1.5 hours and coffee is Luke warm. Picture below is after 2 hours . Left over night the Zojirusgi which was recommended to me by a friend after I was complaining about my cold coffee, was 17 degrees warmer.

Placement of the trigger is not ergonomic causing hand cramps. The fulcrum is lower on the mug and the trigger on the mouthpiece causes the grip to be higher which causes the weight of the mug with the liquid to feel heavier and uncomfortable to hold. The inside open/close mechanism is not secure and falls out into the drink. Only keeps beverage warm about 3 hours. Disappointed, not worth the hype.

I loved this Mug when i first got it. Heavy and durable, keeps coffee hot for hours. Then one day i rinsed it out and now the lid does not go back together. the two pieces go together but the thread does not line up and now the lid is worthless. I want to get a new lid but i do not see it offered. Please help me fix this so i can give you a better rating!

This product does not keep hot drinks hot. I even boiled water and filled it up, allowed it to sit and get hot for over 5 minutes, peed out the water then filled it with fresh hot coffee. I drove to work, a 20 minutes drive, took a drink and it was luke warm. Do not buy this if you like hot coffee, it's a waste of money. Brings back the discontinued one please...

Keeps my water warm while I am in school. Inside rusted after two uses and my hands are too big to reach it to scrub it.

Lasted 4 months. If you drop it and it falls on the bottom edge it loses its vacuum. Second one that this happened two me. My wife's one is the old design which has protection around the bottom and after years and numerous falls still works.

I have owned two of these. The first lid failed after about 4 months. Fell apart. I bought a second thinking the first was just a dud, but I was mistaken today after 3 months of ownership. Burnt my hand and face when it fell apart again and coffee spewed out where the button should be.

Good mug, it shows the quality of the materials and meets the conservation times but I do not recommend it for hot drinks since the seal is weak for pressure and in case of falling the liquid spills easily through the nozzle and could burn you like me, or buy another mug cap...

The stopper which is supposed to hold the liquid inside the tumbler does not work as well as the previous generation and it leaks. I have also asked for assistance on the "contact" portion of the website and I have not received any response.

I went to starbucks with this cup; they put iced americano I put ice to the fullest in the morning, and in 3 hours, no ice was left. Others who had bought this cup a while ago when this had a classic logo seem to be satisfied. But mine has a new logo, which is VERY VERY disappointing. I can't help but return this.

I bought this travel mug 2 days ago. It clearly states that it'll keep ice cold for around 40 hours. Unfortunately, this is NOT true. I put ice in the bottle with my water and within 3 hours the ice is melted. I bought this because it said that it would keep it 12 hours cold and 40 hours iced. It's not doing what I bought it for. I am a homeless disabled veteran and with one of my conditions, I need to drink cold water all the time. Having Tepid water after 6 hours is of no use to me. I feel like it's false advertising. All I want is a bottle/mug that will keep iced water cold for me all day, a product that does what it claims, which clearly this one does not. Now I have to waste more money I don't have next month to find one that will work, maybe like the HydoFlask.

First for the good stuff (I have the 16oz variation of the mug)
This product does what they claim regarding the insulating factor, love it for that part. When functioning properly it does seal quite well however make sure you read my comments with regard to this in the Cons portion of my review. It is easy to use and for my sake the right size. They do stand by the warranty which leads us to the cons of this product. I will also add the reps I have spoken with have always been courteous.
Down side since I have owned I have just requested the 4th replacement lid in less than 2 years time with the last 2 lids lasting less then a 1/2 uses each before having an issue. The problem is it having a material flaw I believe. The push button does not stay intact. This is a result of "normal usage ie. the last one broke when I was screwing the lid on. the one before that just simply popped out when I depressed and released the button. Unfortunately due to this flaw I would not recommend putting this when filled into a backpack or such as I have had the failure occur and damaged some pretty import papers. when the button comes off it compromises the integrity of the seal around the stem where the button connects to. Regarding the warranty it is great that they are willing to replace the defect part however you have to weigh out is it really worth the time and hassle of having to do so multiple times for the same product. Each time I have offered to return the defective item for their review in hopes it would help them in they quality dept, however they do not cover the shipping cost to return the defective item.
All in all if they got the problem solved this would be by far the greatest coffee mug I have ever owned, but I would have to say until this issue is resolved I would not recommend this product at this time.

Today is the 3rd time that this item has spilled on my back seat of my BRAND new pick up messed up my back pack. Not sure why this continues to happen but I am not happy with this product. I loved it first than noticed that the seal started to gap and the coffee was not staying as hot...I love the cup and I kept it since it fits well on my cup holder but it finally has done me in...

I bought this recently, I have never been able to make it seal correctly, it spills no matter what I do, Funny thing is it still keeps the drink hot for hours. I wish I could find a more detailed view so I can see what part is missing int he assembly. I would not recommend this they way it is today

Turns cold liquid luke warm after a few hours. Quickly turns hot liquid into warm after about an hour. Leaked coffee onto my truck seat. Thought about taking a sledge hammer to it.

Otherwise this mug is good. And Stanley has replaced it every time, but I've been forced to buy a competitor's product, and that one is great without the frequently breaking lid. My last replacement lid literally lasted 2 uses.

I bought 2 mugs a few months ago and within a week the small cap on the inner mechanism had popped off. I retrieved it from the sink. Last night I wasn't so lucky. It either went down the drain or went into the garbage when I emptied my strainer. The second mug is fine but I am really disappointed with the first mug. That small cap is the flaw in the system - an expensive flaw, I've discovered.

The unit does keep liquids hot for hours, but I received a unit: Classic One Hand Vacuum 12 oz. that had a jammed press-release button. So I would never buying this product again

Received this as gift, I loved it for awhile, but the button you push to allow the coffee to come out was stiff, and seemed to have a catch, and has gotten harder to push, and now makes a loud popping sound when it finally opens. It takes way too much pressure to open.
