Bought these for my growing kid. When my 11 year old does go to schoolit's usually outside and often cold, snowy or muddy. He had grown into adult sizes, but still wanted Bogs, as they're the best for those conditions. He has wide feet and calves, but they fit okay even with his pants tucked in. He is a sturdy guy. He misses having the handles to pull them up, and they're a bit taller than the description states, but he likes them after several hikes through our snowy field. We are the same size, except I have even wider 17 inch calves, they did not fit me in the calves when I tried them on with leggings, but the foot bed seemed true to size.

I don't have horses or cattle so I never thought of Bogs. My daughter does have horses and told us to try them. So comfy to take care of the chickens in the mud. Just waiting for a big snow storm to see how warm they are!

My first ever purchase of the "classic tall 4-H of Bogs boots was fantastic. Before I purchase these boots I called a Bogs representative to asked about sizing of the boots. He was very professional and answer all my sizing question and shipping cost if they did not fit correctly. When I received the boots there were exactly as describe and fit perfectly. Since my purchase, I've been an advocate for Bogs boots. Kudos Bogs company! Also, took advance of your recycle program and sent a pair of my daughters (old but in nice shape) boots in.

Needed chore boots for a damp climate - these Bogs filled the bill.
Well-made, apparently durable, and on sale.
Because of the stiffness of the lowers I had to exchange a 10 for an 11.
I imagine they will ease with use, but it would have been better if they
were available in widths other than M.

4th or 5th pair, buy them on sale cant beat the price to durability. Wore them in Hawaii Oregon and the Adirondacks. Basically pretty extreme environments. Great on the lava, great in the snow, when you finally get a hole in them, still great for weed whacking, painting and summer stuff. I get about 2 seasons of hard wear before I spring a leak. Hope this helps with any one homesteading on a budget. Mahalo boggs. Andrew

Love them, tall and with no handle, can walk in deep water and you don't pull off the top by pulling too hard on those handles.

I rented a pair of these boots from a cruise line during a trip to Antartica, and liked them so much I bought a pair. The fit is probably a half-size big, which is great when wearing thick wool socks. Traction is a strong point, walking over snow and ice. I spent probably half a day a couple of times walking/cruising in the boots and they remained very comfortable.
