I hesitated to order a size 39 because the US equivalent for Dansko was listed as 8.5-9. I typically wear 8 but I was concerned whether they might run too small. I have a pair of 39 Danskos that are another style, which fit great. But alas, while the ankle strap kept them in place, the shoes were too wide for me.

Pros: They tried to make a heeled shoe with arch support It's black leather Cons: Dansko used to fit me like a glove. No more. They seem to have gone astray when they stopped using the original footbed from Sanita The shoe was like a boat (even though I ordered my usual size) There was about 3/4 of an inch of space between the tops of my toes and the shoe part covering my toes The ankle strap was clunky and was not a real buckle. It was velcro. Yuk
