Other reviews say this shoe runs large, I say it’s perfect. I am a big fan of Ecco soft seven line, I have over 30 pairs of them all size 46 and fit me perfectly. I ordered the same size 46 on these Ecco street tray, and even though they may seem ever so slightly larger, they are not. After walking around in them for a while, I realized they are perfect. These are a bit more rugged looking and slightly heavier than the soft seven but the fit, comfort and feel are almost identical to the soft seven. I even attached a side by side pic of the street tray and the soft 7. If you love the soft seven line and want to try something else that is near identical in fit and comfort, these are the shoes your looking for.

I like wearing sneakers, but they're often not deemed "acceptable" footwear for a mature man, or they are otherwise unsuitable for the occasion. These Ecco Street Tray GORE-TEX Sneakers are "dressier" than ordinary sneakers, and I suspect they will wear better too. I only gave them 4-stars rather than 5-stars because of their relatively high price.

These are the second pair of ecco and they are well worth the price. The only problem is I waited to long, I should have switched to ecco 50 or 60 years ago.

At $200, these shoes should float on air but they're stiff as a board, have no arch support and no cushioning. I can buy a pair of Rockports at Nordstrom Rack for $60 that are equally useless. I will say that the 46 is perfect for an American size 13 (only because I have a narrow foot). The default under over lacing is annoying and might be a European thing but who knows. The shoes do look nice but that's not enough to keep them for this price.

Returned as they were too big. Check the euro size on your current shoes not the sizes listed. 43 fits like a 10 not a 9. Disappointed to see the size molded on the sole. Small potatoes, but that makes it look like a Walmart shoe.

The shoes fit. They were a little long, leaving maybe a half-inch of space in front of my big toe; and the heel was just a little loose-fitting. Neither of these was a real problem. The width was adequate for D-width. I could wiggle my toes. However, just wearing them around the house for part of three days. the shoes just weren't comfortable enough to become an everyday shoe. I can't explain just why. As to style, the color is a bit duller than the picture online, somewhat like the "dirty-bucks" of the 1950s. Anyway, I returned the shoes. Thanks to Zappos for good service. In a shoe store I wouldn't have been able to evaluate these shoes for more than a few minutes.

"True to size" applies to the EU size--I rate the US size "one size larger." I ordered by EU size which saved exchanging. If Ecco were still made in Denmark, these shoes would be much more expensive. I think the leather is good quality and the style is about as good as it gets for the ubiquitous black sneaker. (The Eccos' style is almost identical to Common Projects.) Although I haven't worn these shoes in wet conditions, the Gore Tex lining is a definite plus, albeit breathability being noticeably compromised, resulting in the one-star deduction.

I travel a lot, and I’m picky. As former army, I'm serious about taking care of my feet and my shoes. I bought these Gore Tex lined shoes as my “Take one shoe to Europe” packing experiment. After three weeks of walking up and down the cobblestone hills of France, Turkey, Greece and Italy, I pronounce them the single best men's shoe for city travel! They are made of real leather that I preconditioned by saddle soaping, mink oiling, and polishing. They have a nice thick sole, offer good support, have wide laces that don’t come untied, and are solidly waterproof. They look slightly clody with shorts, but if you’re taking just one pair of shoes, that’s a mild trade off. They are fine in all other spaces both for dress and daily wear. After three weeks of at least five miles of rough wear, they show no ill effects. In fact, after a follow up treatment of soap, oil, and polish, they look well broken in and good as new.

Like everything, especially the slightly rugged features with a dark sole.

Too loose in the heel, the tongue of the shoe was too stiff and uncomfortable at the ankle

Need 41 instead of 42. Otherwise, they seem perfect—good leather, waterproof, wide enough for winter socks and laces that will let me narrow for summer.

I tried the shows around the house...felt stiff but I had confidence that tis shoe would fit like my other ECCO shoes. Took them on a vacation driving trip last week and they were unwalkable...too big, too wide and too stiff.
