It's a very nice, well made boot. It's a little bulky to be considered casual footwear. It's slightly industrial in appearance as well as in function. The interior is roomier than my other Timberlands. Out of the box it feels slightly loose on my feet even when tightly laced. I replaced the insoles with thicker insoles, which improved the fit on my feet. I have slightly narrow feet.

Slight heel slippage, but overall great shoe. Comfortable and good-looking. Looks great after polishing with conditioner and mink oil.

Got these to be a nice leather waterproof casual boot. The uppers are nice and even looking and the laces are long enough to allow for some other tie'ing techniques should the need arise. The boots come a little long in my regular size, they are about a thumb width long. This will reduce the effect of blackened toe nails on those long downhills, and frontal impacts. The boots pivot from the balls of my feet about an inch and a quarter below the tongue threading so the extra length should not effect durability. Time will tell if the sole is attached well to the uppers. When and if that happens I will consider weather or not to attach the soles by goodyear welt through a combatant cobbler. What else to say, and I hope they become soft comfortable and slipper like, as are some of my other Timberland dress shoes.

Good boot but I would not have purchased them if I had known they were made in China. Timberland needs to change its sourcing strategy.

This is a very good-looking boot. We found that it ran larger. I exchanged for a half-size smaller.

I was looking for the low cut without the black lip on the top. Found these they were not the exact ones I was looking for but they are pretty nice. They are not the soft texture tho that's the only thing I don't like bout them. But very nice

They look great. Generally comfortable standing still. But as soon as you start to walk in them, the taper (in) of the ankle hole tends to rub the skin off my ankles, even through thick socks.

Nice shoe but rim is stiff causing my leg rash up when I walk. Needs a cushion around the inside of top of shoe.

Had these 2 years and they still look great and the tread on the sole has held up well. Unfortunately, the glue securing the sole to the back portion of the heel of the boot has separated on both boots and now slaps around like a flip-flop. As a long time Timberland fan, I expected them to hold up a little better than this.

The fit and the leather are comfortable, and look nice. However, the soles are very hard, midsole cushioning is lacking under the heel, so standing for longer periods of time make my feet sore.

They're very good looking but I thought they were a little uncomfortable. Stiff out of the box but maybe they could be broken in.

Very disappointed in how these shoes performed. After three months, the inside began to wear down and form holes in the lining. Additionally, the outer coating of the laces have fallen off. Now the shoes do not remain tied for more than a couple of minutes and new laces are required. I would expect this type of wear to happen after years of use, not three months; especially when I purchased them for $100+. Very disappointed. I thought that Timberland was a brand of quality, but seeing these shoes break down after only a couple of months tells me otherwise.

Love the way the boot looks and feels with the exception of the ankle. There is zero cushioning built in so when I walk the material scrapes the skin off my Achilles. Needs design improvement without a doubt.

I wore these most days for two years - mostly office work, occasional motorcycle riding, and a couple trips that included short hikes (2-5 miles). They look good - I love their style. And the leather is fine-enough quality and it got a very nice patina. That's what makes their terrible construction quality when it comes to the sole so upsetting. Before the first year was up, the laces were tattered and had to be replaced with $7 laces from the largest department store in the US that held up infinitely better. By the time the second year was up, the metal shank in the right boot had snapped and the leather had come unsealed and nearly completely separated from the heel of the sole. When I took it to the cobbler, they said they couldn't fix it and that I should get boots with a full stitch-down construction if I wanted something "resoleable" and repairable. Very disappointing because I loved these boots so much... now I have to spend my weekend looking for new boots that should last 5+ years, spend more money with a different brand, and hope that I can find something with the style I like.

Terrible purchase! I haven't even worn them to walk more than 2 steps! They are so uncomfortable around the ankle area since there is no comfort around the stitching it cuts right into my ankle!

This is a everyday shoe to be worn in the office and the field. Gave me a sore on my ankle the firs day , and customer service said sorry if you wore them we cant help you. Timberland the company is what I'm disappointed in. They do not stand behind customer satisfaction.

Inner sole cushion is very thin and there is not much of a sole support. The cushion comes barley glued down, it can be lifted out of a new shoe. The shoe leather is paper thin and doesn't seem like it will hold up very long. The depth of the outer sole, bottom of shoe is too thin, I don't see this lasting long. The stitching around the sole will not keep water out well. I am returning them. Disappointed because they look nice but not sturdy as I hoped for and need.
