I usually wear 10. Ordered 10 1/2--too small. Then ordered 11 and it fits. This size 11 shoe appears to be the same length as other size 10 NB shoes that I own.

This model runs a bit short relative to other NB athletic shoes I own. I recommend buying a half a size larger, especially if you want to replace the insoles with orthotics. I purchased these shoes because I want more stability for walking. The heels of these shoes are well designed for that purpose. Unfortunately, the uppers do not have enough structure to hold my foot firmly in place while I walk. I am returning them.

I have needed to find shoes to accommodate a bunion, so have been trying shoes in wide and double wide sizes. In most cases I end up with double wide (EE or 2E). This NB 847v4 was recommended for its wide toe box, so I first ordered my usual size 7 in Double wide (EE). After wearing them around the house for a time, it was clear my toes were hitting the end of the shoe which has not occurred with most other shoes in size 7. But I was not sure about a 7.5 EE, thinking the wider toe box plus getting the double wide might be too much room in the half size larger than my usual size. So next I ordered just the 7.5 D (single wide). The 7.5 length was perfect in this particular shoe, but I was not convinced about the D width. Wearing it for a time, I could not tell if it would feel too narrow across the upper instep area. So, I ordered the 7.5 EE. That turned out to be a perfect fit. (I feel like this is the Goldilocks story). So, I should have read other reviews which probably say these shoes run short, because they do run short for me! Ordering up a half size was what I needed. And I do love the comfort, support, and style of the shoe. I am so grateful that Zappos has free shipping both ways and makes the return quick and easy, and re-deposits my money in a timely manner. Will continue to purchase through Zappos for the easy of the order process and great selection. For someone who has foot issues and must do most shoe purchases online, Zappos is the best!

This sneaker fit perfectly just felt a little to heavy for my liking.

It was a good fit except my toes felt a little cramped compared to the other shoes I ordered. Otherwise I would have kept them.

Returning it because it runs small. Normally, I can wear a woman’s 11 or 12, but this 12 was very short.

For the price, I was disappointed that they ran small. I have the same size in another brand that I've ordered for years, compared the shoes together, and these are actually 1/2" shorter. I'm at the top of the size range for women, so I have to shop another brand if this one is too small. The toe box is roomy. That's not what I need, but for those who need it, I think that's an expected feature of New Balance. The style is ok...the color combination is good with the grey/blue, but I'll be returning them.

I like the look. The ankle is somewhat tight but most time forms to foot. The toe area hit all the time on the leather part, had to go up a half size.

Sorry, I had to return them because they did have a roomy toe box but my big toe was touching the end of the shoe when I walked in them. Heel was narrow but not narrow enough. Heel bones were resting on and rubbing the sides of the shoe. Perhaps the heel drop number was too high? Finding it hard to find comfortable shoes and brand that I need. I especially liked the color combination.

I based my size selection on previous reviews…shame on me. I usually get a 9.5 Wide, but decided to try a 9.5 medium. I actually need a 10 Wide. Oh well hopefully I will finally get a pair of shoes that feel good. ??

Toe area had the room I need but the shoe is not a true size 12.

Fit feel a little large

They are more gray than blue and feel as though they have extra support in the ankle. They feel fine in the arch and toes of my rather narrow feet with moderate arches. They make me rock to my toes a bit when striding, which is fine on pavement but takes some getting used to on gravel. These are my first New Balance shoes, and I would buy the brand again.

I think the 847 is a tiny bit short on the big toe. I think they will be OK, but they are just a wee bit less than the length in my other New Balance shoes (mostly 928's). I like the fact that they are solid black---I think they make me look a little more put together when I wear long black pants, or even jeans. They are definitely comfortable. And the material is very breathable--a plus for summer!

These shoes have such a short tongue that I have to use a needle-nose plier to pull the tongue out far enough. Aggravating.

These sneakers look nice and are very soft and comfortable. With my flat, size 12, narrow feet, I was pleased to get something that fits well. I do find them just a teeny bit short, with my toes hitting the front but not enough to be uncomfortable.
