Great walking shoe. I needed to go 1 full size up and wider than a regular dress shoe but with Zappo’s great return policy it was easy to get the right fit. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and with my foot issues finding comfortable shoes is always a challenge. The toe box is roomy and I think the shoe has great support. Makes my daily walking routine much more enjoyable.

I've gotten these shoes before and I just needed to replace my old ones. I can't really comment about arch support, both because I don't really have arches and because I use inserts. But I use these shoes for walking and they fit the bill.

Shoe is great for warm weather. Excellent support for my plantar fasciitis. Did have to go with a half size larger than I normally wear.

At the recommendation of my podiatrist I have been wearing New Balance 847 shoes since 2005. The styles have changed but the comfort and support have been constant. One thing changed with this latest style and that is the fit. I have found that I need a half size larger for a comfortable fit. I can adjust however and will keep buying these great shoes!

I have had tendon replacements in both feet. These shoes are sturdy and work well with my custom orthotics. They look pretty good as well. I cannot wear many shoes these days, so I wear these daily.

I had this style already but am adding another color. Love the fit and comfort and durability!

I have very narrow feet. New Balance 847's have worked for me for years, even though the 2A was still too wide. I've worn the V1, V2, V3. BUT the V4, with the mesh toe, does NOT work. My big toe would go through the mesh. Why change a good thing? The shoe felt wonder on my feet, but I had to send them back after seeing where the mesh was. I'm so sad because it's SO very hard for me to find narrow shoes!!

My daughter really liked this shoe. Unfortunately I had ordered the wrong size and it was too small. It is out of stock in the correct size so she is going to look to see if another style is available in her size.
