I LOVE these pants! Although the amount of end of stitch threads (Irish pendants as we called them in the Navy) left behind were a bit out of control. This issue was not something that would prevent me from purchasing another pair. However, I have already had a top corner of my left rear pocket start to rip as it got caught on a chain hook on my tow truck bed. I have repaired it and so far I will be buying another pair. I do wonder though...Do you have the rip stop M4's available without being fire retardant? I don't really need the fire protection and honestly I ordered these by mistake. I need the Navy color m4 with a double knee, side cell pockets, and the contoured knee stitching is nice as well.

Best FR pants on the market in my opinion. They are comfortable, they stretch and they have many useful pockets .

These are the lightest FR pants I've ever worn. They are extremely expensive, so I hope they last. They are slightly longer than the Ariat FR Workhorse pants I usually buy. I'll buy more of they last.

Best lightweight FR pants I've found. These are breathable to the extent FR can be, and lightweight. They are comfortable and well made. I'm 6' 240 and wear a size 38 jeans. These are slightly relaxed in the waist, but not enough to be loose.

Comfortable pants. They are loose fitting so be aware. I personally like it.

I wear these at work as an industrial electrician, love the material, especially the pockets. Would like a symmetrical cargo pocket design though. Miss the pockets on my left leg.

Fits fairly true to size, maybe a shade baggie. Good alternative to an FR jean in the warm summer months.

I see the reviews about these pants not lasting long and tearing/ripping. This is a problem that is difficult to deal with when we are looking for ultra-lightweight gear. My own situation is less strenuous as perhaps a Roughneck, as I am a consultant, so my experience is different. I use Ariat 9OZ pants here in the North Dakota oilfield all winter long, and I get great usage out of them. These 6OZ pants are so light and flexible and such a pleasure to wear in a field where lightweight options are nearly non-existent. I bought my first 3 pair of these when I was assigned to a project in Saudi Arabia, deep in the hot desert, and I can tell you, they were worth every penny! I love these lightweight options and I understand that they are not nearly as robust as other options, but this is the trade-off for very light garments... Thanks Ariat for giving us these options...

They're a little tight on the thighs I normally wear 32x34 but the thighs are always tight so I ordered 33 waist and they're still a little tight. I ripped them day one. They don't give at all so I'll probably stick with the m5 33x36 in the future.

The material weight is excellent, comfortable cut, but the durability is in question, I have had many loose threads and the waist button popped off while fastening the other day. I have only worn these pants maybe 12 times in the 3 months I have had them.

They are ultra light and comfey but if you are in a job where you are up and down moving around welding in ditches they are no good. They wear out real fast. Also the rip stop tech does not work. The second 1 rip or tear is in it the whole area goes to crap. The only way i was able to salvage them was to sew the spot asap.

While the pants are the most comfortable I have worn, perfect for the summer, humidity, and dry quick after getting wet from working in the rain. The pocket set up and location is nice. HOW EVER THEY DO NOT LAST LONG THE MATERIAL GETS THIN REALLY QUICK AND IF YOU GET THEM CAUGHT ON SOMETHING THEY WILL RIP LIKE YOU CUT THEM WITH A KIFE VERY EASY.
IF YOU WANT SOMETHING THATS GONNA LAST FOR THE PRICE, THESE ARE NOT IT..

I purchased these pants thinking they would be cooler in the summer than cotton, but I was sadly mistaken. They are Hot! and they run really small in the legs. The waist is crazy large and quickly narrows down to a skinny leg pants.

Rips don't stop. Great fit, comfort and feel, perfect for the summer heat/humidity in Houston TX ans a journeyman lineman. I own 6-7 pair and am lucky to get 2-3 months of use, for the high price of these I'd expect much much longer. I will go back to my old trusted Carharrt fr pants that last 3x as long and for a 1/3 of the price. Very disappointed in durability issue. Don't waste your money.

I love the pants I really do I just don't like the stitching come undone. I have them in blue and gray and the blues came apart

The pants in the summer are great, very cool and dry quick. But, you're not going to get more than a few months out of a pair. The pants are constantly ripping everywhere. Poor quality for the price.

The sizing is very odd in these, the waist is about 4 inches too big and the length is about 2 inches too long.

Ripped after wearing 2 times. Have to wear FR for work and this is the second pair that hasn't held up. Love the style of these because it's nice for the hot days outside but they always rip

I really wish I could leave a good review like I do for most of my Ariat FR clothes. It's just not possible with these pants. Everything about them are great the first few months but then they start ripping.
