Love these boots-first time I wore them, I got several compliments. They are true to size and very comfortable.

Just go up a half size. These will work. I normally wear an 8M but yes, it was tight on the top concave arch area over foot putting them on. I exchanged for 8.5M and it went on smooth and fine. So just go up a size or if you or if you already ordered and they are tight just return and exchange for 1/2 size up. Or just order 1/2 size up if you are about to order! Simple! Trust me you will see a 100% difference in putting them on with ease!

Perfect all weather boots. I thought they might be too narrow but they aren't. If you are in between sizes go up. Didn't need any breaking in, comfy right out of the box.

Purchased some boots last fall for the winter season. They are super comfortable and now after being through mud and several snow storms they still are holding up well. I especially like that the soles of the shoes are holding up well. I notoriously wear through the heels and have no tread left after a couple months. These, although they appear thin, show little wear. The treads are also pretty good for a casual shoe in the snow. The porous leather does tend to absorb water and grime. I did not treat the leather when I got them for fear of ruining the finish and darkening the color more than wanted. However after having to scrub mud rather than wipe it off I am mow planning to treat with mink oil. I would probably use that or a leather protectant once sure I will not exchange sizes etc. These boots are not waterproof. If that's what you need you should look at the duck boot line. Overall I was looking for leather boots for fall and winter seasonal use with business casual work outfits. They are durable and comfortable for daily use on most days. They have held up to 4 months of New England weather and have held up well. These are not for trudging in snow drifts, hiking or wearing in excessively wet or muddy conditions. For the vast majority of the time for going to work and dealing with moderate amounts of snow and ice they have been just what I was looking for. I also note the color of my actual pair seems darker, like a chestnut color, than they appear in the photographs.

I have been eyeing these all winter and finally pulled the trigger. So happy I did. I typically wear an 8.5 but ordered a 9 and they are perfect- especially since I wear a light sock with them. They are comfortable right out of the box!
