I ordered a pair of these online during a winter sale. Although marked as regular calf, the elastic at the back made them fit my 15" (wide calf) calves comfortably. The shoes themselves run narrow, and I wound up returning them for a half-size larger.

These are great boots, but I returned them as they were not what I was looking for. These Timberland boots are sturdy and rugged (made of a tough leather) and great for regular outdoor wear. The fit was fine- neither wide nor too tight in the calves. They would look great with jeans or leggings. And the fact that they are waterproof is a plus. However, I was looking for a pair of tall boots that looked a little more fitted and polished to wear to work, including with dresses. These boots have a bit of a dull black/dark grey color that is matte- which gives the boots somewhat of a rugged appearance. Again, for me, I just happened to be looking for boots that are softer and have more of a polish/sheen.

The shaft measurement is wrong. In the size 6.5 the shaft is actually 15 inches, which hit me at the knee (I'm 5'1.5). They were also more casual than I thought they would be, almost looked like a rain boot. Going back.

Zipper is a bit wimpy. Runs a tad small if you want to add book socks. I like the style overall. Very fair price.

I've had to save for these boots but as I was buying a new pair of boots every year, it just seemed to make more sense to save for a quality boot than to buy cheap boots that only last a season. I caught them on sale which made it even better. And boy what a good idea. These are for sure Timberland boots and so the foot is solid, durable and built to last. The top has a stretchy element to it so wider calves might stand a chance but for sure try them on at a store first to be sure. My only complaint is that they don't come wider in the foot. My goodness these are tight, I can barely wear socks with them and while leather generally stretches with wear, as I said, these are Timberlands so the foot isn't meant to be as stretchy as, say, a designer boot would. But I've found a thin but warm sock to wear with them which has made me happy. Currently saving up for the brown ones (and waiting for the sale). Overall, I'm glad I bought them and have them but I would definitely make sure to try them on in a store if you're on the fence about sizing and feel.

I love Timberland boots, have two pair over 10 yrs old that are still great. I was disappointed that the actual product is much darker than the picture. The web pic shows a lighter tan color but the boot is brown. Not sure if im going to keep

I really loved these boots; however, they were too big. As per the reviews, I knew the calf area would be roomy, but the boots felt to be a whole size too big. I got these on sale and unfortunately the price of the smaller size was a lot more, so I returned them.

I liked these boots (fit, leather, and look), but they felt heavy and clunky to me. I think I’d be tired of wearing them by the end of the day. I liked that they were waterproof and the color was a nice chocolate brown.

Bought these to wear in winter and rainy months. The look and feel.of the boots are great. Had to return because I am needing a half size smaller. The color is a lot darker than advertised, but the actual color is not a bad one.

I am unsure on these. I ordered because of the color but it is not close to the pic. They are a dark brown not the lighter rich color. I am thinking they feel a little too big also. Will send back and will probably not exchange for a smaller size??

Bought a new pair of Timberlands this year as my previous pair are starting to show their wear on the heel. The brown version of this boot is beautiful and overall these boots are what expect I from Timberland, ie. good quality. I have NOT yet tested them in the rain so TBD there. Knocked off one star because these boots do not have the same comfort in the footbed as my previous pair. They are still comfortable but more stiff and less cushion.

Although these boots themself are awesome, the color is completely false. This picture shows wheat/tan and you get a dark brown color with dye that rubs off. I picked up in the store and showed the check associate who was completely shocked when she saw the picture verses what I received. A little disappointed with Timberland on this one. * tip: You can use the brush that timberland sells and brush off some of the color. Does not ruin the boot.

All great and beautiful, but sadly these are too narrow for my feet. And I usually don't have any problems with other boots' widths.

I really loved these boots. I have athletic calves but usually can fit in a normal-size (not wide calf) tall boots. Not so case with these boots; I could only zip up them about halfway. Unfortunately, had to return them.

Another person wrote that you have to have toothpick legs to fit these boots. This was promising to me because I indeed have skinny legs. This reviewer was completely wrong. The boot fit my foot but is too wide around my leg. Apparently what this person considers "toothpick legs" is subjective. I had a really great pair of similar boots from Timberland just a few years ago and they fit my legs perfectly. Not this time. Bummer.

These fit great in the foot and were exactly what I wanted... except they can't close around the calf. I've never had a pair of tall boots fail to fit at the calf but these were way off, I couldn't even wear them without socks let alone with pants. It's confusing. I think you need to be extremely lean for these to fit.

I wish this shoe were not abnormally narrow. I have other timberland boots that fit great but this one wasn't one of them.
