Love this jacket! I couldn't believe how warm it kept me compared to how lightweight it is, but it is way too short. It's a few inches shorter than where most t shirts fall, so it's a bit uncomfortable and awkward. It would be a perfect jacket if it was just a little bit longer.

Dommage

After falling in love with my ATOM AR for winter commutes, I figured that the LT would be a natural transition for spring/fall.
The answer is... kind of is. Turns out, I hate those fleece side panels. I know why they are there, but they never seem to push enough heat out, but let lots of wind in. (and it's often windy where I am.) If the coreloft was across the whole garment, we'd have a strong contender as a lighter-weight AR.
Looking forward to trying out the Proton LT. (2019 revised) I mostly use these while commuting and lots of fast-walking. Think the Proton might be the right choice for spring/fall seasons.
I got a large. For me, the fit in the body is fine. I'm 5'8" with ~41" chest. A medium would have been really snug (more like a sweatshirt fit) and not allowed layering underneath.

This jacket never disappoints. It is versatile, can be used in layering, is great for everyday city life in Vancouver, and is lightweight and packable (great for travelling).
Only things I don't like about the jacket is that the zipper can get caught and seems to hit a 'knot' near my chin. Also the area where the jacket hits my chin seems to have a bit of 'fuzz' forming.

DWR wore out after the 2nd wash water doesn't bead anymore. Coreloft not that fluffy anymore too. Still love the jacket I actually own 2.

I had the hardest time finding a jacket for the fall/spring/milder winter temperatures, until I found this jacket! It is quite fitting, warm, and lightweight, and stylish enough with a minimalistic look!
Great buy especially on sale, as it can be quite pricy for regular price!

The jacket, if anything, is sub par perfect for quite different ranges of temperature. I would highly recommend this for someone who lives in a city and needs to wear something quick to go (protect yourself first handedly).
The con I mentioned was bad packaging, it came in a plastic wrap for me which was a bit disappointing as the jacket does cost a fair share but the pros overweight it by a big margin.

Like the jacket. Great fit. Lightweight. Comfortable with good hood fit. Con is similar I would point out for many arcteryx products; limited pocket space. More internal pockets or storage pouch would be welcome. Also for these prices all products that might be used for skiing should include an arm zipper for lift ticket.

I have had my Atom LT for 5 years now. It is a solid standalone jacket or as a layer under a hard shell. My only gripe is on the breathability. For a soft shell, even with the stretchy panels under the armpits, the jacket does not breathe well. I admittedly am a heavy-ish sweater but I have other insulated midlayers/ softshells that breathe better. I have worn this jacket for backcountry ski tours, winter biking, camping, and as an around town jacket. It has become my go to for wet backpacking trips where I'm nervous to bring down. Overall, a versatile layer, but I will explore other more breathable options when I am ready to replace it.

Really great mid layer jacket that fits well under the beta shell. Drawstring to pull in the bottom helps ensure a better fit, however it is placed in a weird spot.

A true workhorse jacket. I first bought this coat 3 years ago and have worn more than any other winter jacket. I recently lost it, and when I replaced it this year (May 2019) was dismayed to find that the design has significantly changed. The stretchy side panels are gone, replaced by material with no give. This means that the fit is less forgiving (and much, much smaller) and it's no longer possible to easily layer sweaters or a fleece underneath. I am so bummed to find that they've adopted a rigid, formfitting cut. I wear this jacket both around town AND for activities (snowshoeing, hiking, etc) because it used to be so comfortable, lightweight, with plenty of flexibility and give.
If you loved this jacket before, be forewarned that is HAS changed, and, at the very least, you'll need to size up.

I received my current Atom LT hoody as a warranty replacement to my last one. (Great jacket that I absolutely LOVED, but the seams at the wrists were coming apart.) The one I received I have worn far less the the first one, but the fabric is pilling already and it does not look great. I am disappointed that this fabric is not holding up like the last one did.
Otherwise, very versatile jacket that I would wear a lot if it didn't look so bad with the pilling.

So far so good. I've only had the jacket for a few weeks and it keeps me warm, fits perfectly under my two Arcteryx shells (one hard on soft). Feels breathable while hiking a few km's with a 15lb. pack on. However, the real test for this mid layer will be once ice climbing season begins... keep you posted.

Wow this jacket feels like you aren't wearing it! The material is silky smooth and easy to layer over or under! I love the fleece panels to dump heat and regulate temperature. I purchased this jacket in a medium. I am 5'2" 125 37" chest, 28" waist, 31" low hip, 36" seat. This jacket is a big snug in the shoulders but has a bit of extra room in the body and the hips. Overall it is a flattering fit and I love the Black Sapphire color.
This jacket functions well, packs down small, & looks great!
