Long time staple in the Whiteline series, the Rush is truly a skier's jacket. The heavy duty N80P-x Pro fabric make brushing against branches in the glades a breathe.
Pockets have ample space to store virtually anything in your kit. The internal vertical access mesh pocket is perfect for protecting items you don;t need immediate access to.
I cam comfortably fit a Fortez hoodie and Atom AR underneath.
I've been wearing this jacket on and off the slopes with no problem. Really have no need for any more cool weather shells. If you choose a tamer color, you will have no problem wearing this jacket to the office. If you need one Arc gtx piece, this is it!

Used my Rush for one season now. Absolutely love it. Amazing weather Resistance. Has stood up to those wonderful
100km/h+ winds found in Banff, that are all too common. Have crashed/hit trees numerous times without any issues. Hood fits nicely over a helmet. Collar is nice and tall to protect my chin.
My one grievance is the lack of zippered pockets internally. I feel like I'd prefer the dump pocket to be zipped. But that's a minor point.

Just scored my first Arcteryx. Been looking at these for a while but the hefty price held me back. I finally took the plunge on a Rush jacket in Phantom King. The first thing that you'll notice is the incredible quality. Puts just about any other jacket to shame. Clearly these are built to last. The styling is super sharp too and the black/purple color combination is unique.
Took it out for its maiden voyage on a brisk cold day in Lake Tahoe. Easy hike with the dog and I noticed how comfortable the jacket it. Had a light layer underneath and the jacket was impervious to wind. I was warm a notch so opened the pit zips halfway.
Overall it's a great design. I'm 5'7" 145 and bought the small. It's plenty big... not snug at all. Next adventure will be a ski outing. The hood fit over my helmet checks fine at the house. Will see how it performs tomorrow!

It was either Beta AR or Rush. Even though i will use it for mountaineering together with ny Beta ar pants I chose Rush over Beta. I liked the way it fits me and the colour scheme. I was surprised how breathable and comfortable it is. All in all, wonderful jacket. The price is a bit high but totaly worth it.

In the 3rd season, I still marvel at my Rush jacket. I was introduced a secret side glade in a New England forest and I managed to spear my jacket with a 1/3 diameter inch branch which then snapped. After the run, I carefully searched without identifying even a mark from the contact.
I have seen complains about damage and it makes sense given what we expose our gear to. But, I see no wear from carrying skis on my shoulders or skiing in the side country.

das Jacket benutze ich beim Snowboard fahren. Es ist leicht, winddicht, wasserdicht und auch sehr robust. Hat gar kein negative Einfluss, wenn ich relativ krftiges bewege. Absolut Kauf empfehlen.

Excellent jacket, is a little crinkly when new but breaks in nicely. One has to be careful carrying skiis on the shoulder, ski edges are sharp and cuts easily if you slide your skiis off. Could also use a little extra protection at the top of the zipper for your mouth and chin. Great on windy days.

I have been an active wearer of this jacket for about 2 years now and it is still holding strong. It has great wind protection, I have yet to see a drop of water penetrate and I have not had any issues with wetting out. It is a solid jacket, great for backcountry skiing, everyday winter wear, and is the perfect (and sylish) shell to layer even on the bitterly cold days (whether its freezing raining, or snowing). It fits perfectly overtop of multiple layers and is sized to do so without feeling like you are swimmingin material. This is the most amazing jacket I have ever owned!

2018/2019 will be my 4th winter with this jacket. I've taken it down countless in-bounds trails, glades, steeps, and everything in between. It has performed flawlessly! The fit allows for movement without pulling at your other layers and the jacket keeps all water and wind out while still being breathable. What may not show in the pictures is how rugged the jacket is. I've skied through all kinds of branches - sometimes harder than expected - and the jacket has held up perfectly.
This is my go-to jacket here in New England on and off the slopes and it gets worn daily from early November through mid-April. With a bath in Nikwax Techwash and TX Direct application at the end of each season, the jacket still literally looks and performs like it is brand new. The Rush jacket is worth every penny!

Ordered this jacket last fall for use this season. After one season I am already in love with it. The blue colourway will be a timeless classic and I am pleased with how it actually looks vs. how it appears on a screen. The updated jacket with the heavier Goretex is nice for peace-of-mind during tighter tree runs, or when carrying the board/skis on touring days. The front pockets are quite large which is nice, but the internal stash pocket is what I found most useful. The mesh pocket easily accommodates a variety of sizes for whatever item you want to throw in there (action camera, toque, tools, beverage). The hood is easy to use and truly fits over any size helmet. I found it cinches down nicely to stay in place without interfering with peripheral vision. My only complaint is that when I purchased the jacket, I used an older molder (c. 2014-2015) for sizing as the shop I worked at did not have any in stock. Normally I would take a medium, but I decided to buy a large based on the older model I tried - in order to help with range of motion during heavy layering. I snowboard and felt as though a medium might ride up the back too high when bending forward for grabs...etc. I assume that Arc'Teryx updated the sizing on the jacket, though, because the large I received is much roomier than the large I tried on. The sleeves seem much longer and with more room, and it sits a little bit lower down on my waist. If I had my time back, I would have stuck with size medium, like with all my other Arc jackets. At the end of the day it is not a big deal, and I still am in love with this iconic jacket.

Decided to go with Arc'teryx this year from previous OR brand jacket. I kept reading so many great things about this brand, and the reviews are true. Excellent winter weather protection when snowboarding, and each pocket is placed exactly where you need it. Let alone I have had a few full on days on mountain whipping through some glades and getting smacked by trees - but no scuffing or tears on the Rush jacket shell. Light, tough, windproof, and keeps you warm with minimal layers underneath. Bit of an investment, but an investment in this kind of quality is worth it.

Had my Rush shell for a year now. 90% used for skiing, but do use it for general outdoor protection from the elements. Live in southern BC so it has seen all types of weather. Don't wait if you're thinking about it. I spent months debating and finally pulled the trigger, haven't looked back. Has held up through it all keeping me dry/warm without overheating as well as ample room for layers but can easily be worn on its own (5' 8"/135lbs Size S). Looks and works as good as the day I bought it and cant wait to use it for years to come.

I absolutely love this jacket! I have tried various layer setups for backcountry and resort skiing. This is by far my favorite layer. Last weekend it was awesome at the resort on a powder day with 30+mph winds @ 10 deg F. Then the following day doing some backcountry skiing with -46 F wind chill (5F high, 48mph gusts) it still kept me warm all day with just an R1 and two LS base layers underneath! I didn't even find the need to put on my puffy when switching over.
By opening the pit zips all the way while skinning, I stayed cooler than I have in softshell jackets or goretex active w/o pit zips. One of the most crucial features for me is a hood that fits over my helmet while allowing free range of motion and visibility.

Upgraded my shells to Arc'teryx a few years ago and this Rush Jacket is my year round go to for weather protection. I use it split-board mountaineering and snowmobiling and as a rain shell in the summer. It has held up to several YEARS of abuse already. I am so impressed. I just wash it as instructed and it comes out looking great after all the grime and grease I get into it over the season. No tears in fabric, no zipper issues. Just a bomber jacket that will last 10+ years. Awesome work.

A shell for the worst weather Mother Nature can throw. After 4 years, I've worn this jacket 75 miles fishing offshore to skiing blizzard conditions. Ski 70+ days a year and use this jacket 80% of the time. Pockets are monsters, I can roll a 100 weight fleece up and store in a pocket if the CA sun gets to much. Great pit zips that can be zipped/unzipped with one hand. I'm 6-0 and 188 lbs with a 44 inch chest. I bought the XL but I like the extra room for layering. You get what you pay for and this one is worth the price.

Choosing a shell is choice paralysis because there are so many options. I live in the Pacific Northwest where a typical day in the mountains is rain, wind, snow, fog, ice, sun, or any blend of those conditions. This shell has a good combination of three outside pockets, two inside pockets, helmet optional hood adjustments, heavy & light Gore-Pro fabrics. The attention to detail in the construction is apparent; additionally, Arc'teryx offers excellent after sales service if needed. This jacket won't make you happy, it's not "bombproof," it's not the best thing ever made, but it will allow you to enjoy the outdoors comfortably.
