NB kids shoes do not last like they have in the past. The most recent pair is less than 90 days and the whole toe area of one shoe is busted open. The shoes fit properly, look great- have been a favorite to buy for my boys for decades of little boy shoes. But the quality is declining- like most everything else.

Suede is a bad idea for children's shoes. It looks horrible after a week of wear. I need all black shoes in a wide width for my son's school uniform and New Balance used to have a leather shoe in a wide width, but for some reason discontinued it.

The shoes looked great and fit well, unfortunately the color transfered from the burgundy material onto the laces and white fabric from my son crossing his feet one over the other after his first day wearing them. His shoe laces and surrounding fabric all turned pink.
He was so disappointed as he otherwise really liked the look and feel of the shoes. That said, Zappos was amazing in helping us out. I was really impressed with their customer service!

We appreciate that New Balance shoes offers kid sizes in wide - they've been our go to for our older son and have been happy with the quality up to now. We got these shoes in mid-October and just a month and a half later, there's already a huge hole at the front of one of the shoes. So I'm not happy with the quality of these shoes, disappointed and wondering what happened!

Four-year-old son has a wide foot. He complains when wearing his new sneakers and says it hurts him. These shoes are not comfortable.

They look like old shoes 2 days after, they are not rigid enough. Laces are way too long.

Overpriced and poor quality. My four year old wore them for a couple weeks before holes appeared in the suede and the sole came apart by the toe. For the price I would expect better.
