This jacket is well outside my price point, but now that I own one I'm doomed to never go without. Bought to use as a midlayer for an upcoming trip to the high Himalayas, but it has turned into a daily workhorse. Warm enough for its size and supremely comfortable...I can't wait to see how it works up high. Buy this jacket.

I wanted a light jacket for everyday which is also good to have for mountaineering. So overall i have a jacket which is easy to package in my 14 litre backpack for the day. Even now in winter time it holds me warm. I can fully recommend this jacket. Arc'teryx stuff seems to be a little bit big so i had to go for an XS. Normally my size with other brands is S or M.

Quality all round hooded jacket, external pockets are a little small but the rest of the jacket makes up for it

Bought this about a month ago and have only used it a few times but an ideal jacket for the Deep South -Alabama. It is light weight and yet warm enough for most of our days. I bought a large and am not large but like a more loose fitting jacket. A medium would have been too small. I ordered two colors and returned the one I didn't want. The return was simnple and credit was timely. A great company.

Have had the Atom LT for a few weeks now, have used it daily as a mid layer while out and about or to and from work and it is the perfect amount of warm and comfortable for the New England winter.

I bought this for winter trail running and it works great. Breathes well, but still keeps me warm. I've used it around 25-30 F and my only complaint is my forearms get a little too warm. Overall, its a great jacket and I seem to be reaching for it more than any other jacket. Sizing is good, I'm 6' 165lbs and it fits great.

I bought this about a month ago and have worn it almost everyday since opening it. It is my first jacket from the company and has lived up to all the great reviews I've read.

I have two of these. Green and red. Obviously older versions as these colors are not offered in the current rotation. I beat these up as a general use jacket AND as a primary layer being a firearms instructor. I have not had to deal with any pilling. I'm bigger and taller (6' 240ish) and the XL fits good. I have experienced pilling with way older fleece Arc'teryx and they replaced it very quickly. I read all the 1 star reviews and I just don't have any of those issues. Obviously I know over time money talks and less expensive options to manufacture take over and maybe I avoided that with slightly earlier versions??

The Atom LT is my go-to mid layer hoody for moderate cold weather days. I usually wear it with a base layer and lightweight fleece underneath and it keeps me warm during long belays. Great for ice climbing and even for general mountaineering. It is extremely lightweight and packable - this together with my hard shell is the piece of clothing I never leave behind.

Wear this everywhere. Such a great base layer. Warm up at the gym. Snow hiking in Utah, under the Beta AR. It's so warm and comfy. Love the stretch closure around the wrist, especially in wind and snow. Love to zip up to the chin in brisk weather. Very happy to have this in my wardrobe. Pull it out all the time. Originally bought an M but returned because too narrow in the shoulders. L fits better through shoulders, but a bit baggy in the rest of the body.

Arc saved me so much time. Never again will I have to research clothes that look good and work well. Comfiest, warmest, lightest, most attractive, best jacket I've ever had and ever will. If you're unsure, use this review as a sign to just buy it.

Just got in the mail. AND I LOVE IT. I put it on and it fit like a sock. I thought it wasn't going to keep me warm against the cold, but it did. I went outside in 30 degree weather and decided that yes i stayed as warm as a sock. I love it although it doesn't have gor tex its still loveable like a sock. Im sweating like a sock right now right this in my Atom LT hoody in a 70 degree house. I might just wear this to bed no blanket no kizzy, AC on FULL blast. I know that one i will wear this very Arc'teryx hoody to my own wedding, funeral, presidential inauguration, ascension to heaven or an unfortunate descension... and last but not least in snowdonia. Will definitely cop another one and once i get my money up Iwill buy everything the store has to offer. This is THE best jacket i've ever had. Thank You Arc'teryx my offical insulated/shell/hood,jacket brand. ILY. PLEASE BUY THE ATOM LT and venture out to shell jackets as well, GREAT JACKET i feel like a sock. THE END Height: 5'6 maybe ish Weight: 145-300kg of PURE MUSSEL (145lb fr... OF PURE MUSSEL)

One of the first things I pack for backcountry, perfect for the climb up and even better under my shell on the way down! Just purchased another without the hood for days I want less clutter around my neck.

I bought my first atom around 7 years ago and I've bought a few more since because it's the only jacket I seem to wear! I don't wear hoodies or sweaters anymore because I don't need to. This jacket is an oven, an oven that regulates heat very well, it's extremely comfortable and packs up small when needed. I also have the Atom AR but it's a bit too warm for me unless I'm walking outside in -20 below etc. The Atom Lt is more versatile, I can wear it outside in cold conditions, I can layer it, can wear it inside, while driving, wear it going through the airport, on the plane, then pack it up when I arrive at my warmer destination! I wear it for low output activities, and high output activities when it's extremely cold, but usually end up throwing it in my pack as soon as I break a sweat as a run hot. I am 5' 11" and 200lbs and would say I'm an athletic build, with broader shoulders, above average arm size, and I'm a 33-34 waist. I usually buy the Atom in an XL as it fits my body type better but this leaves some room at waist for cold air entry, and release of body heat, no bueno. I've started going with ordering a Large but this limits what I can wear under it, short and long sleeves, base-layers, smaller mid layers like the Delta and Kyanite are all great underneath the Large for me, the Covert or a thicker 1/4 zip fleece or sweater might be a little snug under a Large for similar body types to mine. Quality has stayed somewhat consistent which I'm happy with and this jacket has slightly changed for the better over the years I've owned them. You won't regret buying this jacket if you're undecided!

This is a very versatile and comfortable midlayer. Whether for wearing it under the shell or lightly insulated jacket or walking around the village for apres. highly recommended.
