I waited to purchase this jacket for a few months...I have no idea why I waited so long. It is very warm and I do not get overheated when I am running in the cold winters. Took the jacket hiking, very comfortable and able to move freely. Also used it as a middle layer under my Beta AR Jacket for snowboarding in Salt Lake City. Only issue was having this hood with the Beta AR hood and my helmet was a little TOO much. Next time I will purchase the jacket without the hood. This jacket performed phenomenal through all of the elements and I tend to run as a colder person in need of insulation and layers. From the dessert hikes up to the mountains, will not go anywhere without it!

I was eyeing up this jacket for awhile then finally decided to pull the trigger and buy it! Overall, it fits nice and feels really good. I got it in late winter so I haven't tested it out in too cold of weather yet, but it was in the 30s and I felt fine with just a t-shirt underneath. The cuffs and fit are a plus, but I wish it had an exterior chest pocket for easy access. Also, I don't really like how long the hood cable is after you tighten it down. I would recommend sizing up, I'm 6'1, 160 lbs and normally wear a medium. I found the medium fits somewhat small and short. Went with a large and have a bit of extra room but not too baggy. Oh and the 24K Black color looks amazing!

Awhile back I bought the Atom LT to replace my nano puff and honestly I wouldn't consider going back. Its lightweight, fits great, doesn't feel like I'm wearing a puffy trash bag. If I could find anything wrong with it its that I found the hood a little bulky. Aside from that I'm very happy with my purchase.

Pretty decent jacket for a variety of conditions. Overpriced for what it is though. I prefer the Patagonia nano puff to this jacket though. Feels like it probably won't last super long the material is fragile.

Have researched into this brand and specific item for 3 years prior to purchase, and am pleased overall. Tried on this jacket every year specifically because of the longer arm length (that I love) but had been hesitant to buy purely due to the atom LT's very short torso length which I could not justify along with the expensive pricing. The updates are overall a plus- very much appreciate the longer length which in my opinion could even go slightly longer, (5'7 for reference). Also appreciate the logo sewn in rather than printed. After living in this jacket and testing it in Midwest elements I am pleased with the lightweight / quick to dry material, limited warmth, and wind protection but noted some potential improvements. I honestly don't like the updated hood as much, as the previous version conformed better to keep heat in. I understand the upgrade to more of a shell hood for extra rain protection, however the atom LT is meant to be an insulated layer worn under a shell or heavier duty layer which would also have this feature. The zipper is a little stiff under the neck and somewhat awkward when fully zipped, although I can appreciate the material coverage at the top so it doesn't pinch or poke skin when fully zipped. The side panels allow a bit of wind to enter even with the jacket cinched at the bottom which I have noticed during higher wind gusts 25+. When it gets down to it, the jacket performs really well- especially trapping and maintaining body heat for sufficient warmth in semi-cold temps during activity (25-55 deg). Not a fan of that gray inner lining. Love that colors are more eco & earth friendly but miss color on the inner lining (example- 2018's flux exterior with the rusty orange interior lining). The longer body length sold me, however my biggest upset with all the new updates is that the arm length seems shorter and bulkier than before. The long sleeve length was my main purchase point. For skiers, climbers, and those like me who constantly reach up or outward during activity, it means a lot to have the have that extra extension without being limited in movement by the sleeves. Would be fantastic if Arcteryx added a bit of sleeve length back. Again, the Atom LT is a good solid jacket but still has some room for improvement.

I've had the Atom LT vest for some years and it is easily the best cool weather piece I own. The fit is comfortable and the lightweight insulation perfect for our mild winters in the southeast. For that reason and the great reviews, I purchased the Atom LT full jacket. The best features of this jacket are that it is extremely light weight and packable yet it provides good wind protection and warmth retention in mildly cold temperatures. Combine those features with the rain resistant coating for up to light showers and this piece becomes a favorite go to for everyday outdoor wear and outdoor travel and cycling. Pair it with an outer shell, and it can suffice for all but the lowest temperatures. It has wonderful stretchy cuffs that maintain a closed sleeve with comfort and the flexible side panels allow freedom of movement and non-binding comfort. I purchased a black jacket with the gold/brown lining with contrasting brand stitching which I think looks great for wearing around town. My Atom LT vest fit me perfectly (I'm 5'10" tall, 180#, 43" Chest, 36" waist, and have a square shaped torso). The new Atom LT jacket has been redesigned for a slimmer fit which looks great in profile if you have a tall thin shape. However, I'm between a Large and Extra Large in this cut and tried both the XL which is too long and wide for me and the Large which is a snug fit. The side panels allow it to fit but it's not as flattering on me as the old design. The arm length and jacket length are perfect. Overall, this is a versatile jacket accommodating a range of temperatures and activities in a lightweight, easily packable piece of clothing that looks great.

I have three Arcteryx hoodies, two Atom lt and a proton. As much as I love this jacket the face fabric wears too easy by my neck and beard, something not exhibited by my Proton. I have read in the past that the face material has been changed, if this is the case I feel I may have to invest elsewhere and it's a shame as I love the brand, I love the look and the jacket keeps me comfortable down to about 0 degrees with a T-shirt and a forested jacket over it. If it were not for the wear it would be five stars, it has left me worried to use my other LT as it's just going to exhibit the same where. Ps, I have been told I can send it for them to look over, unfortunately I live nowhere near Switzerland :0

I purchased in a size small. I preferred the version without a hood that I lost in a house fire. I replaced it with a hooded version. I don't use the hood because I have long hair which is uncomfortable and hard to fit stuffed down the back of your neck, so I am more likely to wear a hat with a good collared base insulation layer and pair it with a hooded shell. Maybe Arcteryx could look into adding a double layer envelope slit to pass a hair braid through in the base of the Atom hoods (I braid my hair to fit under a helmet). The materials and insulation are great and breathable. I use it all the time for everything. Unfortunately, the lighter coloured fabrics seem to stain quickly and permanently from dust and general grit. My light blue one stained from fine dust where it was exposed from under my shell at the cuff, collar and hood. The light orange version I had without a hood had less obvious staining. Love the stretchy cuffs and the soft collar. Bust: 32" Shoulders: 16" Waist: 26" Hips: 34" Height: 5'8" Weight: 120 lbs

I bought my second Atom LT jacket just three weeks ago, since I was really happy with my first one (purchased in 2018) and wanted to have a different color to alternate; plus, the revision seemed promising. The color momentum is beautiful, the revisited jacket seems loftier than my first one, and the overall fit is flattering. However, just after a brief weekend trip's wearing - just two light hiking trails with layering - the side panel started piling already! I was really disappointed at how quickly this happened; my first Atom LT jacket also had this issue, but it didn't happen *this* quickly and I had much more intensive use (e.g. mountaineering) in it than my new jacket, especially it being a newly revised model. I still love the Atom LT but please ensure better quality control!

Awesome coat. Super warm even though there's no lofty insulation on the sides. I love the Arcteryx neck and hood as I like to sink my chin way down into the neck of a coat to keep warm. Only downside is some pilling happening to the side fabric where my briefcase rubs it.

When this jacket is not soaked in fire smoke from campfires, its my favourite mid layer to wear. Provides great easy warmth. I do confess it can sometimes feel a little on the bulky side, however it works extremely functionally well except in very vigorous activity.

I like this jacket. For me it is the perfect jack for 10 to 3 degrees Celsius. Fit perfectly over a hoodie or sweater. It is cut a little looser than what I am used to in Arcteryx sizing but not significantly so. My only gripe is that the colour looked different on the website then in person. But it could be my computer screen isn't calibrated and it's not horribly ugly.

The jacket itself perfect for layering. Light weight and can still pack into my backpack when I'm not wearing it. The one big disappointment is the colour I got. Picked the Dynasty colour, and really hoping that it would be the same as the website, but it really is off. The colour is ORANGE, very bright orange. All the reviews here for the Dynasty colour is accurate... it's not red at all. It would be nice if the website would reflect how orange it is. With colour being aesthetics and not impacting the use of the jacket, I still rate the jacket great. Paying $$$ for this jacket, I expect it to reflect close to the colour shown.

Let me just start with how much I LOOOOVE this jacket. I've had one for about 5 years. Great for hiking, walking the dog, trail running, or tossing it on for errands. My first one I got about 5 years ago. Started feeling a bit tight so I've been shopping around for a new one. I think I'm between sizes because the small seems too tight in the hips and a bit too short. It's also tight in the bust. The new version also has less flexibility in the side panels. The newer small I could barely breathe in! Settled for the medium but I think it's a tad too big and less flattering. Better to have more room for layering as well. I think the Patagonia down sweater jacket has a better fit for me but is not as great for higher intensity athletic things like running. Second complaint is the new jacket has a waist and elastic cinch which is nice (most of these types of jackets do). However, when cinched there is no place to hide the excess elastic and it just flops around annoyingly. Other jackets like Patagonia hide the elastic pulls in the jacket pockets which is just so smart. I hope they change this in the future. The engineering on the jacket is so sleek otherwise. 5'9" 135 lbs 34DD 28" pant size

I have purchased one of these jackets each year over the past four years. Fabulous mid-weight jacket. Light weight, soft, sheds rain, warm, quality zipper, inside zip pocket. Lifetime best mid-layer or light jacket ever. One problem - the xxl size is approx 2 inches smaller around the waist in 2019 than in the past several years. I don't fit in the new downsized xxl jacket anymore. Totally heartbroken. Just looked on-line for used LT Atom jackets and don't see much.

This is truly an essential - packs well, lightweight, layers nicely and such a luxurious fabric. When I don't know what to bring and need to pack layers, this is what I reach for. It's the perfect starter piece if you'd like to try an Arc'teryx jacket to see what the hype is about. My only complaint is on sizing - it's a bit short and is cut so it's snug at the hips but large in the chest and shoulders, almost like a men's fit. It's so easy to have sides taken in on something but almost impossible to do the same if the top portion is too large. I wish this was made in a longer, lifestyle version to provide more lightweight coverage and without the big chest logo so it was more versatile.

Love this jacket! I couldn't believe how warm it kept me compared to how lightweight it is, but it is way too short. It's a few inches shorter than where most t shirts fall, so it's a bit uncomfortable and awkward. It would be a perfect jacket if it was just a little bit longer.
