This jacket has quickly become my go-to for just about everything. Whether it's in the mountains, desert, post-surfing, or just day to day use, this jacket crushes. I previously owned a similar jacket from a different brand, but I've found this to be superior for a number of reasons.
The durability of the material is top notch. I've worn this climbing in Yosemite and beyond, and have no signs of wear. Similarly, I worn this on a 6 day backpacking trip through J-Tree (very sharp/abrasive rock and plant life) and also got no fraying. I couldn't say the same about the competitors jacket.
The jacket doesn't pull up much when climbing with it under a harness which is greatly appreciated. It provides a surprising amount of warmth so it does get toasty after climbing for a while but I'll wear this really cold temps and temps in the 60's as well.
Overall, I'd strongly recommend this jacket for anyone looking for an all around great piece of gear that will serve you well on various different adventures.

I wear this coat 8 months of the year. It is my favorite jacket, so much so that I just bought a second Atom LT. I did end up getting a few tears in my first jacket in the side panels. I understand that Arc'teryx has a repair or replace policy but I've has trouble submitting my claim as they require so many photos that the form won't submit. Hopefully I will get some help with that.

Not too thick, not too thin, just right. Perfect for all activities.

Got three of these now, in different colours. They work great as an outer layer, mid layer, walking, trekking and climbing. I abuse my kit and they just soak it up. Dry out quickly, compress nicely, even great around town. Work great in the wet UK as well as the dry Himalayan mountains.

This is one of my favourite pieces of Arc'teryx kit. One of the best things about it is that it is like weight, so super easy to pop into my backpack when running around London. The quality of the jacket is fantastic and fits perfectly. I think the hood is also very much worth having as it just keeps in a bit more of the warmth. There are so many great colours to choose from I kind of wanted one in each colour.

I bought the Atom LT and frankly didn't know what to expect. I can say now after a month of wearing it daily, it's my new favorite jacket. I'm reading other peoples reviews and I want to perhaps put a bit of perspective on some of the comments. Firstly, yes the fabric is thin. This is to enable the jacket to be breathable while doing high output activity which is why the jacket is thin and breathable. Secondly, I found this jacket to be very warm! Obviously if you are outside standing still not moving, this is not warm. But it's also not mean't to be a down jacket or a parka. It's meant for activities in cold weather when you are on the move. I have worn this in the mid 30's hiking with only a T shirt underneath and it was incredibly warm. I am between a medium and a large, but opted for the large. Just slightly baggy, but I could care less. Hat's off to Arcteryx for another excellent product!

This is the perfect jacket for Vancouver. I purchased mine in January 2017 for a trekking trip in Peru. Since then, I've worn it almost daily for everything from hiking to grocery shopping and it's still an excellent jacket. After 5 years it's finally getting a bit dull from washing (colour is black) so I'm going to purchase a new one and use this one as a layer under my Arc'teryx shell for skiing. This product has far exceeded expectations.

I purchased this as a mid layer for my Radsten Parka for when temperatures really drop or for low activity. It also works really well as an outer layer on milder days. It's really breathable, yet warm and offers good flexibility. Not many downsides other than hope that the material remains durable.

Great jacket. Pretty warm for it's weight. Perfect as a standalone in the city in fall/spring (i'm in montreal). In the winter, perfect for high output activities under a shell since it is much more breathable than downfilled counterparts
DWR is great so far, hopefully it won't wear out too soon.
Feels like i'm wearing a cloud

Bought a month ago. Very impressed, light but warm and wind proof, a T-shirt and the Atom I'm good for the UK weather. I look at people in their big jackets and coats and smile to myself, knowing I've made the right choice.

What can I say? The atom is a classic for a reason. The LT is my favourite mid-layer for cold-weather ski-touring. Throw it over a base layer, and you've covered all the basis for a good uphill climb without getting too much of a sweat on (and synthetic warmth > down when going uphill every time). It washes and wears really well, too, which is important to me when I'm constantly abusing a jacket the way that I use this one. :)

Overall I love this jacket! It makes a fantastic mid-layer while skiing and a good mid layer when in the city also. This jacket keeps me warm even just as a standalone piece. For those days in the city when I want to stay warm, I just throw a shell over this and I'm good to go for the day.
I'm 6' about 220lbs and an XL fits me well. My only con about this jacket is it does fit a bit longer than expected. Be sure to try one on if you can.

This jacket is a perfect mid weight layer that can be worn the entire year. It is lightweight, soft, comfortable, breathable, warm, durable, and versatile. I've worn it doing errands, skiing under a shell, winter running, hiking, snowshoeing- pretty much every outdoor activity. It fits true to size and comes in fun colors. I appreciate how easy it is to clean, the fleece pockets, and how high the zipper comes up to the face. I take this hoody on all my winter adventures and it has never let me down.

Just got this as a gift and was concerned at first with all of the comments about the fit. Although I have never owned this previously, I ordered a size Small and it's a perfect fit! Length of the jacket, shoulder width, lengths of the sleeves are all perfect. I'm 5'8" about 150 lbs, on the leaner side of body profile with broad shoulders.

Fit and comfort unbelievable, great mid layer or just alone. Great for all climates. Only jacket I took on a 10k mile motorcycle trip to AK and was perfect as a mid layer. I I even bought one for the daughter and wife

This is my second one. I wore the first one into the ground. So many applications for this coat; stand alone light insulation, under a shell for cold winter activities, etc. good value as well.

I bought a medium Atom LT and it fits PERFECT. I also still have room for layers underneath such as a thermal/flannel or combo for the colder days. It has a very good cut, forms to the body with a nice fitted look while still having maneuverability of your arms and torso. I live in WA, on the west side of the cascades. I've worn this jacket for late night winter walks around 28-32 degrees F with only a T shirt under the jacket, my body stayed perfectly warm. Although if I wasn't walking, I'd at least have to put on a thermal or long sleeve shirt. The jacket isn't waterproof, nor is it advertised as one, but during those fall PNW days where you get the light drizzle, the jacket just beads the water right off. I've used this jacket on the really rainy days with the Zeta SL (size medium) rain jacket, and they work great together. Because the Atom LT is fitted, the Zeta SL Goes perfect over it. I'm going to test this jacket out in New England this December so I look forward to making/editing this review in the future.
