Loving these boots, they are comfy and are great for mud and snow. I wish they were a smidge wider (I have Flintstone feet) but are still wide enough to inhibit toe movement.

This boot is marketed as having a wide toe bed but that is not the reality. It was narrower than expected.

I wear a size 12, and have a bunion and bunionette on one foot. These were really comfortable, but the toe box is angled like a running shoe and I didn’t have as much space as I wanted to move my toes around. I ended up with a men’s Keen boot to get the length, width, and toe space that I need.

These boots are super cool looking and I was so disappointed that they didn't fit. I typically stay away from bellowed tongued shoes since my high instep often prevents me from getting in them completely. So imagine my surprise and delight when my foot slid right in! But that's were the joy ended. Even though these are a wide, they were painfully tight on my feet. So much so that after only 10 minutes of wearing them indoors, when I took them off it felt like my feet had been in a vise and they hurt hours later. I know that good hiking boots are supposed to keep your foot in place and be a bit snug, but even with my thinnest socks on, there is no way that I could wear these on a five minute walk outside, let alone a full-blown hike.
The culprit is the sneaker like toe which narrows considerably. The main part of the shoe was wide enough, but the depth was a bit shallow past mid-foot and then the toe was just not roomy enough. I pulled the laces extremely loose at the toe area, and this did not help at all. So if you have a truly wide foot and need a bit more rounded toe for comfort, these might not be the best fit. I had high hopes for these and absolutely loved how they looked and I hated to send them back. Luckily Merrell makes returns pretty easy and hassle-free and I got my refund quickly. It would be nice if Merrell provided the actual inner dimensions of their shoes online so that those of who have wide feet can better see which wide styles may or may not work.

I really wanted to like this shoe but aside from the colors its not comfortable. I bought this in my usual Merrell wide 6.5 size. The shoe is NOT wide and the sole under the arch is really narrow measuring approx 2.5 in. Lightweight, insubstantial, and with the narrow sole underfoot causes ankle to roll inward. Could have been a great hiker but not with this design.
