The Merrell Encore Bypass 2 are the only shoes that dont hurt my feet. I was born with 7 toes on each foot and they are webbed. These shoes have been a life saver to me. They are well worth their money. Thank you Merrell for such wonderful shoes!!

They're very comfortable & last great. This is about my 100th pair of them. However, they stopped making them with leather uppers & that's what I strongly prefer. We do lots of tearing around the trails on ATVs & have lots of different animals. 4-wheeling in mud or doing chores in net uppers (or whatever it's called) is bad for me for a couple reasons: 1. If you're in mud or wet grass even, your socks, feet & shoes are all going to be wet for awhile; and 2, cleaning them up & drying them out is a lot more hassle than the leather uppers. In some cases, "they ain't never gonna be the same". If you don't have any redneck tendencies, I'm guessing you'll love them. But other than that, I love them.

The first pair of shoes we received were defective (the right shoe was considerably smaller than the left). The customer service dept. quickly sent out a return label and a new pair of shoes (same size) which are perfect. We are happy it worked out as this is our fifth pair of Merrell shoes.

I had a pair of Merrell slip-on's back in the early 1990's and I loved them!! They lasted forever and were some of the most comfortable shoes. I bought a pair of these shoes wondering if they would be as comfortable as my old pair. They would be great shoes is they were not so tight. If I do not put them on first thing in the morning, there is no way I could put them in later in the day. Now when I wear them, they are great. I think next time I will try a wide, though I never thought of my feet as wide (I have never had to get wide shoes before) but I am willing to try wide to see if they fit any better. I would love to be able to try them in at a store to find what size works best for me, especially from mid-day onward.

size matters

I know that your products are directed toward the athletic and the fit. However, those of us in our senior years find them very comforting, as well. As a nurse I wore the Encore style for years. They were always dependable and easy on the feet. In retirement, I still wear them because they're good for inside or outside the house, while helping me maintain balance. I do have one complaint about a change in them. The old pair that I have, has an expandable web on each side of each shoe. The older you get the more your feet swell, as you spend more time on them. The new ones I received from Merrell have a fitted band around the opening for the opening in which your foot fits. It doesn't let the shoe adjust to swelling increasing your foot size. I'm sure this is a small thing, in relation to updated styling, but to me comfort and function are more important. If you could change it back, I would be grateful. I will continue to buy Merrell, a quality product in a world of lessening quality.

The shoes are exactly as advertised but I was hoping for something a tad more breathable. I'm a flip flop guy and I find these a tad restrictive

These are comfortable and convenient as a slipper, but while the upper is airy that soles make my feet sweat like crazy leaving my socks damp after just a few minutes. ?????

My original pair had flexible slits in the section across the too of my foot. Made them much easier to slip into and more comfortable. Still good , but missing this feature.
