They were quite comfortable. I loved the ice guard on the bottom. Unfortunately, although I have narrow feet my socks (regardless of heavy or light weight) kept gathering in the toe area and was terribly uncomfortable. I would not blame the shoes (so 5 stars) because this is happening in several pairs of my shoes I have had for years. I really wanted to be able to keep these.

So far so good. Took these boots on winter trip to Iceland. Hiked over various terrain and they preformed great. Waterproofing was good as long as you don't go above the ankle. Used them with ice crampons for glacier hike and width of heel was tight but was still able to get them on. Warm, dry and good grip on snow and ice.

Great everyday boot.Warm and comfortable. I'm a 72 yr old retired firefighter. These boots will not disappoint

We bought these for some winter hiking and snowshoeing. I have a medium width foot with normal arches. When I first put them on the arch support seemed it would be too much but once I walked around they were very comfortable. Sizing felt right on target. Our first hike was 10 km in the mountains on semipacked snow at temps between freezing and minus 5 celsius. My toes tend to get cold. Not at all this time and I had standard thickness socks. The next day was a 15 km mountain snow hike in a raging snow storm, again plenty of warmth, no water penetration but i did not submerge the boot. Great traction as well. I bought the same boot for two family members and they have the same positive impression. Highly recommend these boots.

Feels very high quality, I like the rubber on the bottom part, definitely water proof. Easy to wear, if I don't lace up all the way. Easy to take off also. Wife checked them out upon arrival, and first thing she said was, "wow, light!" I would buy them again. Also makes me want to check out other Merrell shoes now.

Last year, I used these boots anytime I was shoveling snow. They were warm, comfy, and slip proof. This year, I also plan on using them as my deep-winter hiking boots.

This is an excellent water proof insulated boot! My feet stay nice and dry and toasty warm no matter what the conditions are outside! Very well made and durable. Would highly recommend!

We live in the mountains and these boots did great in the snow this past winter worn every day and still look new. Great grip walking up a fairly steep snowy/icy driveway, and even worn them at work a few times when I was too lazy to change them. I did feel the cold inside a bit more than I thought I would but it was no big deal. I'll be buying another pair whenever these wear out.

I walk several kilometres a day in these boots during the winter. Comfortable and supportive. They have a good insulation amount for the walking I do. Fit seems right on.

These boots have been great for snow shoveling, playing in the snow and are even comfortable when talking the dogs for walks. Some boots I have owned have not been so good at walking. Good insulation and great padding around the ankle bones. Efficient lacing. Good purchase.

Warm and rugged. These boots are awesome for snow and sleet.
