Merrell is my go to for shoes! The FST has worked well for me. My primary walking shoe that have traveled 575 miles over the last 250 days. Gets a recommendation from me.

Some of the lightest and comfortable shoes ever. They are however some of the ugliest shoes I have ever wore.

Wears like a tennis shoe but hikes. Its heavier and more sturdy than a trail runner. You can do trail running in them though. I hiked easy trails around Sedona in them. Can definitely do more than I did in them. I think they are great and look good. When you don't want or think you need a full hiking boot.

I drive a semi to make deliverys and pickups. Love the traction i get with these getting in and out of the tractor, and trailer. Very comfortable.

Great fitting and support. Very comfortable, plus style. Put them on, went to the airport, arrived at my destination 10 hours later. Rare for me to wear a new pair of shoes that long for the first time. Usually need a break in period. Put them on and took off!

Nice lightweight daily use shoes. Solid lugs, can get a little slippery on wet asphalt but haven't slipped. My go to for any outdoor activity

I always buy men's shoes for athletic purposes, since they have a less narrow cut and thus a more stable platform. These shoes are great for hiking, the tread really helps with sandy and uneven surfaces. I usually get nasty blisters but somehow didn't with these. Soles are cushy enough that my feet don't hurt after 10 miles. Love them overall!

These shoes have more arch support than my heavier (5th pair of) Merrell Moab's that I wear almost everywhere and might become new my favorite shoes if they prove to be durable. I haven't stressed them to check traction, but the tread pattern (lighter than the Moab) seems aggressive enough for most short hikes and walks on improved mountain trails. They don't seem to pick up and transport pebbles to my Airstream's floor like my other shoes. They are comfortable out of the box. With the mid-weight Merrell socks (I'm really not a Merrel employee), these make my feet happy at a very modest price, even when I wear them for long days.

Definitely comfortable over all terrain. I hike over dirt and rocks and feel very stable doing it. At 71 yrs old I need all that!

As a barista, I’m on my feet for eight-hour shifts. My chiropractor suggested Merrell to me and explained that hiking shoes were a good match for concrete floors. I’m glad I started wearing this brand. The Zion FST is one of Merrell’s least ugly options and my second pair from the brand. My feet are still sore at the end of the day, but they don’t hurt as much as when I’ve worn other shoes to work. The non-slip outsole is a plus.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, Saucony, Original Penguin, TOMS, Levi’s

I tried on nearly every Merrell shoe in the store and this one was the most comfortable. It is a lightweight hiker or trail shoe. The outsole is more hike-ready than a tennis shoe but not as aggressive as some of Merrell's other hiking shoes. It's not the most comfy shoe or hiker I've ever worn, but it was by far the most comfy of the Merrells I tried on many styles.

Usually love Merrell but these are not up to standards. No arch support causing many shin splints.

I'm disappointed these didn't last longer than they did. Still have ample sole, but the toe box is splitting.

Yes, I find these super comfortable. But there are few issues: 1) the inner heel of the soles of Goretex model, that I have, have collapsed, and 2) the inside of the shoes' heels have holes worn through the nylon and padding.

Shoe was uncomfortable. Felt cramped. I have the MOAB Ventilator and it's the most comfortable shoe I own. I bought this shoe and was in pain. I sent them back!
