I have two pairs of shoes from Merrell I've had for a while that are great, but I'm about to return my second pair in a week because both, in spite of being a good fit otherwise, slip badly on the heels. Not OK. Giving up on Merrell for now.

Shoe was super comfortable but the tread left a lot to be desired. Lightly Used since January, part of the tread came off and wore down quickly. Pretty disappointed as Merrell is usually very reliable.

I will preface this review with the fact that I am 6'5" 215 lbs. I primarily wore these shoes on hikes with my young children, so not very long or hard (< 100 miles). I took these shoes on a backpacking trip where I carried 30lbs and did a hard, rocky route for about 55 miles. We hiked fast and the shoes simply could not hold up. The soft sole completely compressed and lost its support. I haven't left a review on a product for at least 7 years but thought it was important for you to know that these could breakdown quickly on hard routes.

Like the looks, but I've worn the Moab's for ever... this shoe doesn't have much of an arch.... just uncomfortable to wear. I'll look and see if I can find another pair...it will be Merrell!

The shoes I received were used. I did not pay full price for used shoes. When I bought the shoes, there was no indication they were used. I am returning these shoes. I don’t think I will be buying shoes from Zappos again after this purchase experience.

Supper uncomfortable. Felt like my heel was going to come out of the shoe with every step. Took 10 steps and put them right back into the box to return them. I love Merrill's but these are horrible.
