This down coat has a weird fit to it. It's nice and snug around my feet but Medium has a poor fit in my case. It's too loose and baggy. I'm 174 cm (5.7 ft) / 75 kg (165 pounds) and I'm normally a Medium in Arcteryx, yet this model does not fit me right in Medium. Small seems like a more appropriate size. I wish the outer fabric had more durability and water resistance. It seems very delicate and soft. The jacket is very warm and lightweight. With proper layering, you might even forgo a Thorsen in favour of this one up to a certain temperature, of course. Despite the baggy fit, especially in the back, I like this jacket. However, if you're anywhere close to my measurements, I'd recommend size Small instead of the usual Medium that you might be used to in Arc'teryx.

Just received the jacket purchased from a Montreal retailer today, however the QR Code shows it is Proton FL Hoody women's jacket - is the QR code printed wrong?

Put this coat to the test weather wise and it's faultless! We don't have bitter cold weather here in the UK but when it does get to -2 / -3 as it is at the minute it's absolutely fantastic. It's very stylish too! I wear it with jeans/stan smith trainers and even cargo trousers with my air jordan 3's! The wife loves it which is a bonus and the odd compliment from random people is always a nice thing to. If you want a stylish urban style for the city in winter then this is your coat! I have it in black and it's the best winter coat I've ever owned! Get one!!!

This is by far the best jacket you can buy for your money. I have lost count of how many compliments I get on regular basis This jacket is light, fashionable, incredibly warm and absolutely perfect for whistler and Vancouver weather. But this Jacket!!!

Picked up this jacket last week and am completely satisfied with the quality. It's length is perfect for keeping the wind out. The coat has a nice loft to it which is perfect for the winter months. I am very pleased with the fit as it's nice and snug around the chest/arms with a more relaxed fit around the abdominal area. Very comfortable coat!

Awesome level of warmth and body length. Decently stuffed baffles. Typical great Arc features. Love the idea of a long, shell-less down parka. Fits similar to newer, boxier (in my experience) Thorium AR, which did not work for me. I'm 6'1", 170 lbs, lanky. I wear a medium Proton LT and large Cerium LT/SV. My fit goal for a jacket like the Piedmont was enough room for a casual long sleeve base layer plus a heavy weight fleece or Proton LT. I could achieve this on a medium Piedmont, but the arms were way too short. Large Piedmont had sufficient arm length (still shorter than medium Proton LT and large Cerium LT/SV) but the body was way too boxy for my taste. Neither size worked for me. If a boxier fit is right for you, this looks like a great really warm, casual piece.

I love how long and light this coat is and it is pretty warm. I do have a problem with the pocket size, I wish they were larger and lined to keep my hands warmer. Overall very good coat, hoping next year they add to this coat.

The jacket is warm, lightweight and the fabric has a really nice luster and touch to it (I got the dark blue colour Kingfisher). Unfortunately the main zipper will not hold place and the down filling is really uneven in the neck area.

This coat is described as regular fit, actually it's relaxed fit as it clearly instructed on the label attached to the coat. This is very misleading! The baggy fitting looks bad. And the zip can't hold place indeed as claimed in other's review. Maybe this coat was designed for belly guys

No matter what I do, the zipper for this jacket will not stay up. This happens when I'm just wearing a T-shirt under or even when layered it quickly starts to unzip itself. For the price of this jacket I expected a better product overall than what this design offers so hopefully they will fix the issue in the future.

I want to qualify this review by saying that my low rating is because the product picture on the Arc'teryx website is misleading. Otherwise, I like this coat. I purchased the Piedmont Coat Men's in Exosphere (blue). One of the appealing aspects of this jacket is that, based on the photos on the Arc'teryx website, the Arc'teryx logo appears subtle as it's the same color as the jacket (see the photo titled "Piedmont Coat Exosphere Hood Up" on the Arc'teryx website. However, unlike what the Arc'teryx website shows, the blue jacket I received has a WHITE logo on the arm sleeve (rather than a BLUE logo), which makes the logo stand out more. I've attached two pictures: one showing how the logo looks as shown on the Arc'teryx website (it's blue) and another showing how it looks on the jacket I received (it's white). Just wanted to point out that distinction in case it's helpful to anyone.
