The mallard blue color of this jacket is so nice. I got this as a Christmas gift from my boyfriend. I love North Face and I am true to the brand. I own a parka that I still use from 10+ years ago. Initially, when I tried on this jacket I was not a fan. The fit is not flattering especially if you are somewhat curvy. It would have been nice if they made it shorter in the front and longer in the back type of fit or just have it be a shorter length over all (i.e., it covers your bottom slightly). Also, this jacket is not very warm. The warmth rating is a 1, however, it is considered a snow jacket so I was surprised by that. I do find that if I am mountain biking, hiking, or doing something active, it is warm; but, if I'm not doing anything active it is not warm. I wear a warm fleece zip-up underneath if I feel that I needed the added warmth. I am excited to use the inner later on it's own in the spring and fall. I would give this jacket a 7/10 rating.

I LOVE this jacket! Sleeves are a bit long, but I LOVE that so this jacket fits me perfect! Also, it covers your butt! Its flattering. Im 165 5-9. Could have done a med but decided on a large for extra layering. I have never bought a NF jacket due to jacket and sleeve length but this is great. Also, has some stretch so that is a bonus!!!!! Price is very high that is my reasoning for 4 stars but I plan to have it for years.

I had the same North Face Coat for over 7 years and I still use it and in good condition, so I decided to get a new one. This one is more lightweight and don't seem like it will keep as warm as the other one. Haven't been that cold yet to test that out.

What's the point of having under-arm vents on the outer jacket, but not on the inner jacket. The inner jacket has low breathability. It would be one thing if the inner jacket was constructed of two different fabric, one being a more breathable fabric for the under-arm area. As a result I wear the two layers separately. The outer layer is a shell for hiking. The inner layer is good for low level activity around the city in the fall or spring. The look of the inner jacket is good for the city. The hip area is too tight on both layers.

Pros:
- My Denali jacket zips into the jacket really well and makes it Very Warm! It is like having 4 jackets in 2. Really expands the seasons of use of the jacket.
- The pass pocket and goggle cleaner in the left sleeve are very useful and super handy!
- The jacket is very light and is great for snowboarding in PA as is or CO with the Denali jacket zipped in.
Cons:
- The blue does not have the black upper part shown in the pictures. The top portion is entirely blue. I specifically ordered through the NF website to get the blue/black look only available on their website but what I was sent was entirely blue with just the black on the sleeves.
- I was going to wear it with the matching blue pants but with the all blue top, I look like a giant blueberry.
- The snow skirt is only useable without the inner layer. The skirt is sewn into the outer layer and is not long enough to go down past the inner layer. It works okay as it is but not convenient if you need it often.
Sizing:
- The sizing was a little tight in the hips but good everywhere else. If you are curvier, size up.
Overall: The jacket is great but it is not the color look that I wanted/ordered

The fit was a bit off. I bought both a large and an extra large and had to return both. I LOVED the color, and the versatility of having 2 jackets in one. I was super bummed I had to return them.

This jacket is a bit smaller than most other brands in my size. Additionally the stiffness and inflexible material makes movement in the arms less comfortable. Seems well constructed but I returned for a different size.

Great quality keeps me warm. I love the fact that it has a liner. Tight around the hips which I don't like. And I sized up so that's a little annoying

Overall good jacket. There is a serious DESIGN FLAW....THey promote Powder Skirt...Question: When do you need a powder skirt? Answer: when it is snowing and windy and cold. THis would also be when you use the ECO ball liner. WHen liner is zipped in you CANNOT use Powder SKirt. Who approved this design.

My daughter wanted this for her 13th birthday so much. I swallowed the price because it's a 3 in 1 system. The hem drawcord pulled out the first week, she wasn't even skiing. The lace lock is on there still, but no way to thread it back through the hem. We'll have to take it in to a store. We previously tried the Arrowhead for 1/2 the price of this one but the sleeve snap pulled right off (it also wasn't warm enough.) Quality seems to be a problem at every price point.

Bought this for our ski trip to Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately it arrived late and ended up purchasing something else. Glad I did. I purchased a size small and I normally fall in a small, sometimes a medium for the shoulders. It ran extremely small and there was no way I could layer anything underneath. I'm 5'6", 135lbs for reference with an athletic build.

I like the jacket but the sleeves are short and the shoulders are narrow.

Quality is fine, but sizing is very weird. I ordered XL and it was too tight in the bust (I'm 5'8" 215lb large chested).sleeve length perfect, but according to size chart XXL sleeves were a good 2 inches longer. 1X sleeve length was incredible shorter. I retuned the coat and went to Scheeles.

Warm, fits well. Really needs a pocket on the inside of the shell or liner. Color and pattern are pretty plain - nothing special. Bought for the fit, but misses some features!

Jacket is a little tight in the shoulders. Plus the location of the pockets does not work well if you have anything bulky in them. The long length of this jacket placed the bottom of the jacket 4" below my crotch. When the liner is zipped in, the 4 major pockets made anything in the pockets rest right at my hip socket. Not good for trying to bend over to buckle in on a snowboard. Or to make angulated carving turns on skis. The one internal pocket that is positioned a little higher is a part of the shell and is inaccessible if you have the liner zipped in.

I love this jacket but unfortunately it runs a two size smaller. Considering that I purchased a 3x which I normally use 2x to 3x it still was too tight.

For some reason, the zipper line poofs up below the breast line and it looks odd. The jacket is great otherwise, but for that much money, I didn't want to look good too and it didn't so I returned it.

Wore this skiing on one mountain trip. Did light tree skiing and just being brushed by pine branches tore a small hole in the shell. It made me super sad it was that flimsy. Otherwise I love the warmth and feel of this coat. The durability is just subpar, especially for the price...

I ordered my regular size and it fits weird. The thermoball liner fits ok, but the outer shell fits ok everywhere else but tight around the hips. I'm 5"5' 131 lbs. The zipper up front puckers and makes the fit looks very unflattering. I'd suggest to size up.

I bought this as a ski jacket. Before I bought it, I looked up the reviews and they were very good. I am a skier and the first time I went skiing, It was -3 with light winds, and the wind went right through the jacket. The second time I used the jacket minus 10, light winds and I was cold even though I had a merino wool base layer and an extra sweater. For the price of this jacket I am very disappointed. You cannot use the powder skirt if the inner jacket is zipped with the shell.
