I have gone skiing a couple times this year (temps between 25-35 degrees) and it has definitely kept me warm. Although the color is as shown, I was disappointed with Northface's color selection this year and just landed on this color because it was the best of the options. I also don't love that the thermal under jacket AND the Northface logo are all the same color as the outside.

I got a size medium. Size 4, 5'2, 130 pounds. It was very tight in the arms and felt short and restricting if I wore a sweatshirt under it. Definitely size up if you are one to layer. I am returning for a large. Other than that, great quality and beautiful color and idea, just bad sizing

Wife likes it. It is warm. She usually still wears her shell and down sweater instead of this jacket.

The liner is hideous, very unflattering so you can't wear it on its own. Also the fabric on both the shell and liner are loud and rustle. The shell's lack of hand pockets can be inconvenient. The chest pockets create sort of a hand warmer pouch to place your hands in but not very convenient for carrying items. I also wish there was a media pocket inside the shell but I don't know if that's possible with triclimate. I have definitely noticed they are using cheaper fabric that frays easily on the sleeves and cuffs. I don't expect this to last long, but their warranty is pretty good.

I purchased this jacket for skiing and I love the design and the fit and length. I would have given it 5 starts had there been more pockets. And the pockets that it does have are not placed well at all. When you unzip it the phone falls right out. Honestly if it had at least one additional pocket on the inside that would make all the difference. I love the the liner part of the jacket!!

I ordered the jacket online and the first one I received had a medium exterior (what I ordered) and a XXL liner. That wasn't going to work. I tried to exchange it in-store but they could not change out the liner for the right size, so I had to return the whole thing (online) and try again. Once the second jacket came I really wanted to love everything about it, but the pockets suck. I read a few other reviews about the pockets and did not understand what they were getting at. Now I get it!! The exterior jacket has two pockets on the front. Rather than being lined nicely like most of North Face's other products, these are lined with mesh, the same mesh that lines the whole inside of this jacket. This would be fine, but it does not leave a nicely lined place to store your phone. Nor do they function as 'handwarming pockets'. The inside of the lining jacket does not have pockets. It has front pockets that are nicely lined on the exterior of the jacket, but this means you have to unzip it from the outer coat to access them. Yes, you can store things like your phone in them, but that's annoying to do for frequent access. Also if you are skiing without the liner jacket, this is not an option (annoying!). The two pockets that work well are the forearm pocket with the lens wipe and the interior goggle pocket (on the outside shell jacket). I would have returned the jacket (again!) if I did not need a coat now. Other than the pocket issue, this jacket is lovely, especially the floral print. For size reference, I am 5'3" 126lbs with wide shoulders. I ordered a medium to have extra room for movement and layers. It fits great without looking too baggy or the sleeves too long.

Loved the fit of this coat when I tried it on in the store. Sadly, I was in a hurry and didn't think through the pockets and powder skirt before purchasing. There are only two very large pockets on the front of the coat. When you put items in them they all fall to one lump around the waist of the coat - very uncomfortable and not definitely flattering. Also, the snow skirt doesn't work at all if you have the liner in the coat! The liner comes below the powder skirt so you can't snap the skirt shut unless you pull the linter up creating a big lump around your middle! The bottom line is this coat is very poorly designed and definitely not up to NorthFace's standard or reputation. I am very disappointed.

Purchased for alpine skiing, and it's terrible. The powder skirt doesn't close properly when using the insulated liner and the hood has nothing to cinch it tighter so the wind isn't kept out. Bizarre that Northface would skip these simple things.

Purchased this jacket to wear to Europe on vacation. When I received it, I was still very cold just in the city of Atlanta, GA weather (not cold at all). This jacket is very thin. Would not recommend. Based on the description I planned to also use this jacket for hiking and skiing and other outdoors activities. I will not be able to do so. Not worth the very high price point.
