I bought this to replace a 10+ year old North Face jacket (that was of a similar style, and I really liked). Because the zipper finally stopped working well on the old jacket (and the inner lining was deteriorating), I sent it in under warranty, and was given the option of full replacement value, but NF keeps the fleece liner, or a 50% credit and I get the fleece back. I chose to keep the old fleece and bought this jacket as a replacement. I expect this new jacket to be the one I wear more than any other, just like my old NF jacket was. With the removable liner, this jacket can be used 10 months of the year (maybe more with the old fleece I kept). The liner is not the fleece kind; it is the puffy 'down-like' kind. The smooth fabric of the inner liner makes it a little easier to slip on and off as compared to the fleece. The hood adjusts a little more easily (e.g., keeping it from covering your eyes) than the old jacket.
My only quibbles are that this jacket does NOT have a two-way zipper that would open a little at the bottom (as my old jacket did). If I had noticed that in the store, I might have bought a different NF jacket. I cannot understand not having a two-way zipper because that is SO convenient, e.g., when getting in and out of a car (is it a cost-reduction thing or are there other performance reasons to have a one-way zipper?), and there is no high exterior breast pocket, which was very convenient. With a two-way zipper, this would definitely be a 5-star product.
Bottom line: I really like this jacket, and I am now a big fan of NF based on the handling of my warranty claim.

I needed a new Snow Jacket so purchased the Clement Triclimate Jacket. The jacket was definitely warm and versatile but there were a few issues with the construction. The jacket should have an option on the hood to roll up and zip inside so if snowing the hood doesn't fill with snow, especially when wearing a helmet. There is no zipper cover/protection at the top of the jacket so when you have it fully zipped it scratches your neck. The inner jacket needs additional snaps at the sleeve to secure when wearing both together.

I wear it as a general cold weather parka. It seems warm enough at 20F and 30 kts of wind

Great warm jacket. Spent a few days skiing in Vermont this winter, a few days skiing in Colorado, and both had frigid conditions with snow. With only wearing one base layer underneath, I was able to keep extra warm. Only complaint I have is that its a little tight in the arms. I am 5'10 about 200 lbs and it is tough to move comfortably if you were to wear a sweatshirt underneath. If i wear a base layer or just a long sleeve t-shirt, there is no issue. Overall, great jacket and would recommend to anyone looking for a casual/active wear jacket.

I wear during the xold weather. Fits a little snug, but fits. I do thing the strap that attaches the inner liner behind the neck could be softer material, it is ruff when rubs on the skin.

Great insulation. Need shorter sleeves. And the velcro can be a bit annoying

I use my jacket for jogs and casual daily errands. Though it restricts arm movements. It keeps you warm and most of all dry. Would I purchase another north face jacket? The answer to that question is yes.

When I originally received the coat, I thought it was going to be too thin. Found it very warm for cold MN winter.

I wore this jacket while outside for a couple of hours during Winter Storm Kenan and was as warm as can be. The only downside to the coat is the zipper...given the length of the jacket, North Face should have designed it with a two-way zipper. The fit was true to size and the fabric and stitching is top quality.

Bummed out the quality of the fabric was not good. It ripped the first time I wore it. I have North Face Clothes that are 10 years old that have never ripped.

I got this jacket as I wanted a new insulated jacket for the ski season. I've worn it twice and will be selling it. For me personally it is lacking many features for a jacket on the slopes in the snowy pnw. There is no chest pocket for phone, key etc. the front flap pockets only have to small Velcros so snow can get in, which it did. My keys and phone which had to be in the zipper hand pockets were soaking wet from the melted snow from the flap pockets. The zipper ices up and is hard to lower when all the way up. There is no fleece or wool lining around the back of the neck so that soaks in moisture unless your hood is up. Last but not least which drives me crazy is when I pull the coat off, the inner removable liner always pulls out with my arms because the snap at the cuff hardly holds. I guess when you buy online without really checking everything out this is what happens. If you just need a warm jacket it's fine. As far as an advance on hill ski jacket for snow days, this is probably the worst coat I've owned in sometime.

The coat was my size (ie: going up or down a size would not have helped), but the sleeves were just way too long. I see now that others had this problem as well.

Great yellow jacket (warm, stylish, etc), HOWEVER, it stains WAY too easily. The first day I used it, my phone in the front pocket caused friction marks/stains within minutes. On the second day, same thing happened across the velcro fastener in the front (no object in pocket). Safe to say I'm very disappointed.
