Excellent base layer. The best of both worlds. Polypro for wicking, but not enough to smell, plus merino for warmth.

I already had base layer tops without the zipper, and though the zip up would be less comfortable - but it is definitely my preference now. It is great to be able to zip or unzip to adjust to the conditions.

Finally got to use this long sleeve during a cold week in the Rocky Mountains. Kept me warm and comfortable despite temps well below freezing. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. Item is very light and breathable. I never felt like I was overheating during strenuous activity or as the afternoon temps warmed up a bit.

Nice looking and of good material, warm enough and soft. The fit is just a bit short in length compared to other medium base products I have from HH.

As a bigger person I found I was happy to see that the fit for this base layer was perfect. And the quality is fantastic.

This base layer has the best fabric to wear when skiing! It is truly comfortable and keeps you warm even in the coldest days. Also, it lasts forever, great choice, I totally recommend it!

I love the half-weight merino zip on a cold day, or you can lay a pure Lifa under it on an absolutely frigid day, then nothing is getting through. Excellent quality. I'm 5'9" 175 and the large Fit is nicely snug without being tight. Have several now despite some funny colors - LOL.

Bought these and the mid weight and they have been awesome. Its 20 and snowing with no sun this weekend and all I had one was this base layer mid weight and my outer shell. No problems with warmth at all, doesnt stink, supper comfortable, Im a big 63 260 with longer torso and the xxl was a perfect fit.

good fit, warm, feels good

I bought this for ski trip that was coming up knowing that it was going to be in the teens the whole trip. The whole trip I pretty much wore this with my Alpha infinity jacket and it pretty much did the job. I believe on one of the coldest days I put a fleece mid layer on and i was plenty warm.

Fit and quality excellent , used as a base while skiing in Tahoe , performed well with no issues whats so ever . Very usable for sports and afterwards, stylish .

The layer has a great look and feel. It also performs well in sub-zero weather.

This is my first HH purchase and I am extremely satisfied. The midweight acts as a good top layer on top of a base layer. It is warm for reasonably cold weather, I have worn it on a run in 5-7 degrees Celsius weather without issues. It is completely non restrictive to movement. No issues. Love the feel, love the fit, great look, functional and well made.

Another winner from Helly Hansen. More recently had some colder weather (20s maybe lower) and its kept me really warm without a coat or any other layers. Quality and materials used were solid as it felt really soft, had good stitching, and did not emit odors when I did sweat. Very happy customer.

The item runs VERY large. The lighter weight version was a form fitting, fit, at extra large. For this heavy weight item, the extra large is HUGH. I returned it, no problem, for a large and it fits well. Amazing customer service. This is a good product only if you get it on sale. I would not recommend it if you pay full price. I own products from a different merino wool store and they are really great and they are half the price of the MSRP for this item. Again, if you find it on sale, go for it!
