I did like th feel of these shoes. However I am an under promoter and these shoes are built up on the inside which makes my problem worse.

I have problems with my feet so I bought these because of the very thick soles. The first problem I noticed was the instability. I think the soles are so thick, it seems it’s hard to be stable with on them. I should have returned them but I decided to keep them. After about two weeks of daily wear, they literally started falling apart. A hole developed on the rim just below my ankle. It grew very fast. Within a few days, stuffing was coming out of the hole. The other shoe began to fall apart on the sole at the rear of the shoe. By the time I had the shoes for a month, there was a flap on the soles that would sometimes catch on the ground when I walked. After a month of daily wear they looked like I had worn them for years. To be clear, I wasn’t doing anything strenuous. I work from home and my job is stationary. I have significant medical problems so I’m home almost all of the time and rarely am on on my feet. Even with very light use, the still fell apart.

Absolutely awful. I had very high hopes for these shoes. It took just about two months for me to throw them in the trash. The gigantic soles make them almost impossible to stand and walk on as the soles are so ridiculously high I found myself literally falling off of them. It sounds absurd but it’s true. I really wanted to love them and lots of people swear by them but I thought they were incredibly uncomfortable. I hate that I wasted so much money on such terrible shoes.

New Balance continues to provide true wide-width shoes for us who rock “Fred Flintstone feet”. I purchased the EEEE width, which perfectly sizes me. Getting a proper wide-wide shoe is doubly great because, you can order a shoe that is your correct length vs. having to go up a size and still have to squeeze into a D width. The sole is super grippy. The Fresh Foam is something new to me so it took a few hours to get used to how the foot bed reacts. Now that I'm used to it - love it!

If NB is going to charge the same price as Hoka, they better up the quality. Outsole is not grippy; very slick, unimpressive, especially at this price point. Upper is just fabric (maybe a step above "flyknit"), mine had loose threads, but it does fasten down nicely. Midsole is really good, the fresh foam is responsive and light. This is a sub par shoe with a great midsole that shouldn't be priced anywhere near the best in the cushioned trail class.
