I wear custom inserts & these shoes have enough room to accommodate. In the Light & Fast world of backpacking I'm a 71 year old light & slow. I like the cushioning these provide. Nice balance for me of support & lightweight.

I purchased these shoes for golf as I walk 7 miles during a round carrying my bag (3 times a week). I have been a big fan of the x ultra 3 mid for hiking, but those shoes don't look great with golf attire. I still stand out a little with the Odyssey's, but the shoes provide the stability, dryness and comfort I need...and look ok on the golf course.

My favorite travel/hiking shoes are my xultra3 lows. But I wanted a less bulky looking pair of shoes that I can travel in and be ready for anything in. These do not disappoint. The only thing I would change is the mesh color. I wish it was black. It's kinda purple.

I'm a courier, and working in bad weather usually leaves me with very wet feet. Finally I have light comfortable footwear to walk and drive in, that keep my feet dry, no matter the weather.

In my mind it is impossible to beat the Salomon X Ultra 3 Mid GTX but these shoes are a close second!!! Comfort, Style, Function are all A+!!!

Really impressed with how comfortable these shoes are, they fit my wide feet perfect!.

I've had a few pairs of Salomon boots. I decided to try these instead of getting the gtx and I regret that decision. I think they lack the quality and especially comfort. They are wide and offer room but when I put these on I can't wait to take them off and with the gtx I can't wait to get moving.
