Very nice shoe and comfortable but unable to fit my orthotic. Thank you.

I had hoped the sole would be more flexible than in other Alegrias I've tried, but it didn't work for me. The sock lining caused friction that pulled my sock tight against my toes and caused it to bunch up at the heel. My heels are narrow, and once the shoe was on, I could not tighten the strap enough to keep the heel from slipping.

The shoes are rather stiff so I don't often wear them.

Did not fit well. I returned item to you.

Ordered my usual size but they were too large in the heel

Shoes are true to size and width however the manufacturing quality of this pair is lacking compared to the pair I have been wearing for the past two plus years. I seriously doubt these will be as long lasting.

Have worn Alegria's for years. The last pairs of the Joleen that I have ordered the sides and bottoms of the soles fall apart. I am not sure if they just had a bad batch with this shoe, but I have never had this problem. you can see from my account the number of shoes that I have ordered over the years and will continue to do so. I love the shoes and have always been impressed with Zappos and their customer service.

Love the shoes but the decorative metal piece on strap broke off after 2 days of wear.

This shoe offers a wide toebox unfortunately it is somewhat wide at the heel.

I have trouble finding shoes that have a roomy toe box. This shoe does have a lot of room, but in size 40 (U.S. Women's size 10) it ran so large that it only worked with an extra insole and thick socks. My foot measures 9.75" long and 4" wide at the widest part. The color ashes-to-ashes was beautiful and accurately shown on my computer monitor, but I wish the sole were gray instead of black to make it less clunky looking. I returned it because of the fit and the sole color.

I am no longer buying shoes with European sizing. After trying 4 different brans, I have concluded that the sizing does not work for me. I have never has this problem before. I wear a 61/2 M(B), but all of the shoes were very wide in the toe box and too long. I was looking for comfort but, the shoes feel like "gunboats".

Plenty wide, but felt a 1/2 to full size to short.

My usual size is 9.5 and size 40 is fine. Toebox is wide enough, however, the instep area is way too wide. The strap does not tighten enough to keep the shoes in place. Back they go and many thanks to Zappos generous return policy.

The shoes fit and were comfortable, but in person, I found them quite unattractive. I returned them.

I hadn't had these very long when the concho on the strap fell off. Luckily, I was able to find it and screw it back on only to have it fall off again later. This time it was lost. I was able to get replacement conchos from Alegria, but they are not the same color. My biggest issue with these shoes is that the color does not last on the toes. They are easily scuffed and look horrible almost immediately. These shoes should be made better for the price I paid for them.

These are the cutest shoes ever!! I am so sad I have to return them. I have wide feet. I have several pair of Paloma shoes (the Mary-Jane style). They are nice and wide and my bunions don't even get red in them. These shoes - Joleen - were way too narrow. I got them on fine, but after wearing around the house for 5 minutes I realized they must go back. Not the shoe's fault. I blame my feet. :-(

I got these shoes as a replacement for my Danskos, which I loved but were too tippy! For the first couple months, I thought I had found the perfect shoe. Comfortable, reasonably good-looking, practical for wearing during long days at school. But after only 3 months, the leather at the back of the ankle wore out and the padding began falling out. It's so disappointing! In comparison, my Danskos survived daily wear for almost two years.

I love the patterned leather but the shoe was too big for the size 39 I ordered. It felt like it would fall off my foot. Seemed like the strap was too far down toward the toes to provide securing the shoe to the foot. If I pulled the strap tighter so my foot felt secure the velcro did not come together and match up and did not secure the shoe. I will return them without ordering a different size. I thought this shoe was ugly and very boxy.
