Hands down the best winter parka I have ever owned. We are in the throes of New England winter right now and I have been practically living in this coat. It has held up strongly against wind and wet weather. Snow that lands quickly melts and beads up keeping me dry. Even in strong wind gusts the protection this parka provides is superb - I literally don't feel any wind getting through. Price-wise, I would say this park is worth the cost. The details are excellent and I have no qualms about the zippers or velcro. I find them functional and easy to use while wearing gloves. The hood's faux-fur lining is removable and helps keep your face warm in the snow. I am 6'3" with a slim build and the medium size fits me perfectly. I have long arms and the sleeves are the ideal length for me. The cut of the parka hits right below my hips and has good butt coverage. The inner pockets are fleece lined and do an excellent job of keeping your hands warm. I will say that the chest pockets feel a bit high to comfortable keep my hands in, however, if walking in extreme cold I do use them. The down feels evenly distributed throughout the coat. I have noticed a few feathers get loose here and there and come out the seams, but this is expected of a new down coat and has not been anything major. Overall, I am very happy with this parka and will be using it for years to come making it a worthwhile investment. The quality is excellent and the product delivers.

I bought this for my fianc, its his first winter in MI after being down south for years. Stylish and warm!

I use this when temperature is below 30 deg F and it works perfect to keep me warm. I am 5'9' 155 lb athletic/muscular build and got the small which fit will around sleeve and shoulder but large around waist. I had to get it fitted at an alteration store. Wish they made slim fit parkas like Canada goose.

I don't know why it took me so long to by the north face, is cheap, warm, stylish and all weather proof I really recommend the north face.. never go wrong

Every day commute,,daily activities,,,its warmer than I thought it would be because I was fixated on the fill amount of down as advertised by other brands.

It's a very warm coat. If it's above 30 degrees the coat seems too warm. I have worn this coat in -17 degree weather and it performed very well. Highly recommend. The pockets are nice and insulated also.

Good jacket in my opinion. Keeps you warm on the inside and protects you from the wind and water with the built in mask it comes with in the hood. It doesn't run as big as some people said it would. Im 6'0 and ordered an XL expecting it to be way to big, but it fit just a tad bit too big, not as exaggerated as some people said it would. My only problem is that you can't move your arms freely like you would with some other jackets. Overall, its a good jacket and one of my favorite ones.

Hi, I just bought this jacket for my son. He is 5ft7 and 130 pounds. I ordered the medium thinking it would be a little bulky yet the intention was it would fit for this winter and next as he is growing so fast.... it is a gorgeous warm jacket but it runs HUGE! My 6ft 4, 200 lb husband tried the medium on and it fits him! So size down. I can't wait for the small to arrive and hope that's not too big! Trust the reviews this runs BIG but it is a really lovely quality acket. Hope this helps.

Fits big and long but currently wearing with nothing more than a T shirt under it at -20'c so there's room for more layers. Would be better with a metal #10 zipper but not a deal killer and is an easy fix, haven't had problems with the plastic one yet. Snow skirt would be nice but I wear with bibs anyways.

I used this jacket during my 2 month stint in Svalbard (800 miles north of the Arctic Circle) this winter and it withstood temperatures down to -35 below. This jacket is absolutely phenomenal and would recommend to anyone in a very cold situation.

This parka delivers exactly what I hoped it would: It's heavy, but not cumbersome; it's waterproof, but still breathable; it keeps me warm and dry, but stylish. I purchased this parka to be my coldest weather coat, which is to say, I have another warm coat I wear when it's between 32-42 degrees, and I wanted this one to handle anything below freezing. And it does! It's not uncommon for Chicago to have 15-25 degree days with the wind blowing, and when those days come, this parka handles it with ease. As has been well-documented in other reviews, the zipper could be a bit bulkier. But I didn't find it dainty or cheap feeling. It's one step above the zipper you will find on TNF's down jackets. It's a bit of a struggle to get the zipper on with gloves on, but that hasn't bothered me. In future iterations of this parka TNF would be wise to bulk up the zipper to reflect the intended use of this parka. Still 10/10 recommend.

This jacket is one of the warmest jackets I've owned. Unfortunately it was stolen only after one use but it's so good I went ahead and bought another.
