This coat is everything I've been asking for. Very well insulated. I felt the warmth once I zipped it up. The length is just right. I am glad to have purchased this coat.

This is a perfect coat for the cold winters in Wisconsin! It fits true to size and is a great length to keep me warm.

I bought a Canada Goose Langford Down and this coat at the same time to compare warmth. The NF McMurdo was on the same level for warmth. It's a great parka.

This is a seriously warm coat, for seriously cold days. Fits loose without a lot of layers underneath, not super stylish but super effective.

This is I believe a 4th generation Mcmurdo parka, compared to my 3rd gen previous model I would say it is much improved, although the hood is no longer detachable but the fake fur is as before, it does have cinch cords to tighten against the wind not a feature found on my previous model, NF did improve this new model with hand warmers in the upper chest pockets, and all Velcro instead of cumbersome snaps to close the front storm flap

This jacket is very warm and weather proof. Only downsize is big and heavy.

Very warm. Good for this early morning walks into work. Zipper is pretty cheap and doesn't match the size and quality of jacket.

Great product. I've definitely put it to the test. I live in Minnesota. I have a couple of huskies and I walk them every day. I have been out in -20 degree weather. It keeps me warm. I actually needed to take a layer away. Get complements too. Only 4 stars because I think the velcro takes away quality. They do run big. I wear a medium shirt and have lots of room for layers in a medium jacket.

I wore it on a trip to northern Wisconsin. I live in Indianapolis where it doesn't get cold enough. I get sweaty wearing it here. Also the zip is tiny. No chance if you're wearing gloves. They need to bulk up the zipper!!

I use for everyday activities, grocery shopping, going to work only the zipper, I think its wear out very quickly

Bought this jacket along with the New Outer Boroughs jacket and ended up keeping the McMurdo Parka. I love the amount of pockets this jacket has. The fit is also much better. The New Outer Boroughs does not have shape so I felt like a blob. It's been doing amazing so far in the sub zero winter temperatures and winds here in Chicago. Very comfortable to wear while driving too. Only cons on my end would be the velcro closures but it's not a deal breaker. You will not regret this. I got a small and I'm 5' 5" 170 lbs. It fits snug enough that wind won't get in but I can also wear a hoodie underneath if need be.

I like the parka style, and this is a very warm yet light jacket. The fur lining on the hood does a good job at cutting snow and wind from your face. It does run a little big, for reference I am a 5'9 male, 165lbs and I got a small, and it fits me well. Only con I have is the shoulders and arms feel a little boxy, so you wind up looking a little square in the jacket. Otherwise can recommend!

Got this for my father for Christmas. It is very warm. The waist area is a little too big on him and would fit better if there is an internal adjustable elastic cord built in.

Fantastic warm winter parker. Lots of functional pockets. Comfortable but a little big around the shoulders. I'd prefer a slightly more fitted style.
