I have run 17 miles in this shoe over the past two weeks. The first few runs required a break in period - I definitely noticed the forefoot trampoline feeling, but it also left my feet buzzing due to the strange impact. Over time, the midsole loosened up a little (or my feet got used to it). The major issue that I've noticed is the midsole instability. It feels like I'm running on a foam cushion, as my feet wobble side to side and struggle to maintain a neutral level. This created excessive overpronation-related pain on my left foot and ankle. Yesterday, I suffered a serious ankle sprain on my left ankle during a recovery run, while turning a corner. It was pathetic, and I truly believe it had to do with the midsole instability. I own several other running shoes and have never felt this. Bottom line - I really wanted to like this shoe. Others have raved about it. It may suit the high-arch runner better. However, for those who have overpronation, flat, and/or wide feet, this might be a little too wobbly for you, as it was for me.

Having owned several pairs of ASCIS shoes before I have to say these are probably the mot comfortable pair yet. As a nurse who is on her feet for many hours a day I absolutely must have good shoes. I always buy guys shoes for the wider width for more comfort and the fact that wider shoes are better for your feet. I am impressed as always with the comfort and sturdiness of these shoes.

I love ASCIS because in my line of work where I'm on my feet 10 or more hours a day, having really good shoes is extremely important. The Novablast are very comfortable and my feet feel good at the end of my shift.

fantastic they are super comfortable in long runs they help me a lot I am still taking them to their maximum performance but so far I cannot complain they are good

These shoes make me feel like I'm walking on pillows! Very comfortable with a nice bounce to them.

This is my second pair. I've used these for all types of runs. They're the swiss army knife of running shoes.

One of the best training shoes I have ever used. Out of the box went on a 8 mile run with no issues. Fast drying as well.

So I have been using ASICS Kayano's since they debut with the start my USMC career in 1993. I have been buying a pair almost every year and have been completely satisfied! My son Nick convinced me to try the Novablast SPS with him. Either I was having a freak day after not running for over a week (MTB 5 times)... or these darn things make a BIG difference! VERY impressed. I think I would use these for road races.

The Novablast SPS has filled an critical niche in my shoe arsenal. I needed a responsive, well cushioned shoe for long runs and I couldn't ask for more from a reasonably priced trainer. In other shoes, the balls of my feet are sore by late in a 16-20 mile run, but that doesn't happen in the Novablasts.

Super Light and form fitting. Probably the most comfortable shoe I've worn .

Great all around shoe. Currently logged 25 miles couple of tempos over 3 runs. So far the shoe is very comfortable. My foot size is 9 and I ordered a 9.5 which fits perfectly for me (finger width of space from the top of the shoe to my big toe). These shoes have replaced my Nike Epic React 2 and they are better all around. I am 41 and I have run 4 marathons. PR 3:55 and I run approximately 45-50 miles per week.

Excellent fit but size is smaller than regular size. Its great for the run or walk. Am on my fit 6hs daily and its great for my feet.

The fit and comfort are excellent. I'm running about 30miles/wk.

They run a little small. Great Shoes though! Fun Colors!!!!

Great shoes for speed work. They give you so much bounce in each step. They did not work out for me on long runs. I did 20 miles & my feet & legs were sore for days after. But anything under a half was perfect

The shoes fit great. Love the color. The shoe works well on my 5 mile runs and is comfortable. The only concern I have is that the arch is a small worry. It almost feels like the arch of the shoe collapses. I know it doesn't but it feels that way. That is the only concern I have with this shoe.

The midsole of the novablast is like nothing I've ran in before. First thing you'll notice is how soft each landing is while you're running. Usually I find really soft mid soles hard to run fast in, but the novablast is responsive enough to get the cadence high and allow you to keep it there. My only gripe is that the softness of the shoe doesn't work super well if you have to make a lot of sharp directional changes. Other than that, nice work ASICS!
