I am 63 years old, and race in 5K, 10K, and half marathons. Brooks Hyperion Tempos are my favorite running shoes because they are somehow soft on impact, firm on the push, super lightweight, neutral, have the right drop for me, and they make my feet and legs feel younger. They are great shoes for speed work and for long runs. I am running faster and longer now than since my 40s, and the Tempo deserves some of that credit.

6’7”, 220 lbs, size 15. Just put them on and ran 10k in them today straight out of the box and loved them. No blisters, no discomfort. I’ve been looking for a decent lightweight non-Launch (they stopped fitting me right after the Launch 3...my Launch 6s absolutely kill me, I skipped the 7 in favor of this higher priced Hyperion) for a while now and these fit perfectly. I wish there were more colors, that sky-blue lower portion is kinda goofy.

I never write reviews. But ALWAYS read them. Shame on me. I read all these reviews for this show before buying and must say these are best athletic shoes I've ever worn. I've never splurged on running shoes like this but bought these for myself as a "new dad" gift to myself as I walk my newborn every morning and night in the neighborhood. I've never worn Brooks before. THESE SHOES are SO comfortable, phenomenal cushion, amazingly lightweight. Yesterday, at the playground I literally felt spring-loaded.

Great shoe. Feels good. Quick turnover and cushioned enough to go the distance. Could use a little better set of laces.

Favorite running shoe ever? My introduction into running started with the Glycerin, Ghost, Launch and Cascadias I laced up between 2012 and 2014. I left for the siren song of Adidas Energy Boost 1 and then chased a bunch of different models with the dream of a shoe that would work for me on the track, easy days and long runs. I fantasized about a shoe light enough for fast 5k races in July but enough cushion and energy return for a fall marathon. That day has come with the Brooks Hyperion. I told someone it propels me like when you are on the horizontal escalator at O'Hare airport. The upper locks the foot so you feel athletic and fast but provides room for toe splay. Smart engineers built a thin but comfy tongue. The heel collar is my favorite ever. I think every level of runner can find an amazing use for this shoe. They even shook off the beer a competitor spilled on them in a beer mile. I highly recommend Brooks drop a light gray color for wearing around with jeans, shorts, etc.. Thanks Brooks - you are back and so am I.

Great show. Needed to order a half size larger. I also have wide feet and are comfortable in the shoe.

I use these for all my speed sessions and races up to half marathon. They just make me feel fast, they are very responsive but they also have a decent level of cushioning. Got a 10k pb in them only last week! Absolutely love them.

I was looking for a Brooks runner with 8mm differential neutral shoe. I run prob 25-30 miles a week but some fast miles coupled with biking and working out. Toe box is a bit wide but overall very great running shoe. Super light (7oz) and get good energy response from the shoe so it’s easier to pick up pace or knees in later miles. Overall I’m impressed a big step up from my Brooks Revel 3s

I run treadmill only and these are fantastic. Hoping they last me at least a year. I don’t walk in my running shoes, and I like to get a fresh pair every year.

They fit perfectly, snug at heels and sides and wiggle room for the toes. Very light and comfortable, put a spring in your step. Like the black with the subtle color patch on the side, blue sole and nice color accent on the heel, tongue and laces. This is the most I have spent on sneakers so I hope the perform well and last a long time.

The Brooks Hyperion Tempo is my all-time favorite shoe. No joke, I am on my fourth pair. They are super light weight and give you a bounce in your step that lasts for hundreds of miles. I have been running about 700-800 miles per pair, and the shoes hold up incredibly well. Whether you are running a half/full marathon or just gunning for some Strava segments these shoes will help you reach your goal.

I feel much lighter on my feet. They feel like they hugged the feet and the laces are flexible which I think are giving that comfy feel.

Hands down the best brooks running shoe right now. This is how the ghost line used to be. Simple. Comfortable. Wideish. Reliable. Definitely going to order more. Typically running 20-30 miles a week. Running enthusiast and for work.

Most comfortable sneaker I've had. Super light and definitely helps with pace. Only slight con would be I'm 210lbs and impact can be a little harder than a Ghost or similar shoe.

Nice tight fit, comfortable. Midsole seems stiff at first but goes away as soon as you start to run. First run was 10 miles, and I set a new PR.

After a track workout and one 6-mile run, I knew the Hyperion Tempo were going to be my go-to speed shoe. Light and bouncy - they felt great. And I'm guessing had my race been during dry conditions, the shoe would have garnered 5 stars from me. However, race day came and it was drizzling for 90% of the race - not a downpour, not even a steady rain, but a persistent drizzle. Sure, my feet were wet (not a surprise) but the sheer quantity of water the shoes retained was stunning. I took them off post-race and literally poured water out of my shoes. It was stunning how much water these shoes retained. When the forecast calls for rain, leave these at home. For any race/work-out where the weather is rain-free - don't think twice and lace these babies up. Your feet will thank you.

Light weight with good support and cushion. I like the sole design of the Hyperion Elite better, was hoping that they would more closely match.

Great shoe! The only thing I had an issue with was the thin insole. For a high end shoe I would of thought they would of put in a good insole. I replaced it with a molded custom insole & now they are perfect. Other than that its a great shoe.

I just got this shoes 70kms ago and I have to say that our relationship is improving after each km. It is a shoe worth trying, but the experience for everyone is going to be completely different. I use them for tempo and long runs and they feel very responsive, roomy in the toe box ( that's ver I get most of the problems with the shoes) and very light. My only request would be to have them with more drainage for Floridas hot/humid days.
