I have been wearing the Asics Gel Nimbus for years for running and the size and fit between the last two pairs of the same size were inconsistent. My feet underpronate and I like a lot of cushioning. These Brooks feel perfect! They fit perfect and are very well cushioned. I am very happy to have a new brand to buy from since there are more color options and I like the look of these more.

I agree with some of the other reviews about the Ghost 13 being an improved version of this shoe. I also own Ghost 11's which were pretty good, but the Ghost 13 is far superior. I walk 3-4 miles/day and I was able to wear this shoe right out of the box for a 4.5 mile walk. Padding is excellent and I feel like the toe box is a bit wider than it used to be. I have some pain issues and find that alternating shoes on a daily basis provides me the most comfort. I like to alternate the Ghost 13 with my NewBalance 847's. These shoes keep me moving.

These are considered the Brooks with the "most" arch support, according to the Brooks website. I find the arch support to be moderate, but then again, I have super high arches and have a hard time finding shoes with enough arch support for my needs. Overall, the shoe is comfortable and I am keeping it. (Side note: tried orthodics in these but they did not fit in the shoe well)

Fit perfectly and there is plenty of room in the toe box for my toes and bunions! These are winners.

I had been wearing Ghost 12 and decided to try Ghost 13. I just received them. The shoe fits the same and is just as comfortable. But the tongue on the 13 is longer and has a curved shape that comes higher on my front ankle. I preferred the tongue design on the 12. I hope the tongue on the new shoe doesn't bother me or rub as I walk and run.

I love the fit of the Brooks Ghost 13. They didn't even need breaking in. They were comfortable from the start. I have wide feet and the toe box for the Wide is perfect. I enjoy walking about 30 minutes several times a week, that's good for a 68 yr. old! I bought the Ghost 13 for my walks.

My third pair- I love these shoes!

This is my third pair of Brooks Ghosts - 11, 12 & 13 for the last three years' models. I feel like athletic shoes are a very precise, personal purchase, and these are where I've landed at this stage in life - 64 y.o. busy, empty-nest grandmother & wife. I had been wearing size 10-11 shoes in general, but I landed on 12 with these. Yes, big feet! Also went with D width when I'd normally been pretty average. These fit great in toe box and heel, which can often be disparate. Looking forward to model 14 next year, may rotate out my 11...but probably not. These are the white/pink/black, but the pink looks almost orange. I'm not mad at it.

I honestly have never spent this much on a pair of shoes, but they are absolutely worth every penny! They are like walking on air. These shoes are stylish and very comfortable. My new favorite walking shoes!

I loved these so much that I bought a 2nd pair in the hot pink color. They fit true to size and are so comfortable to run in.

Compared to the Glycerin 18, the Ghost 13 are bigger. The toe box is much bigger and the shoes are at least 1/2 size larger. Cushion is not as good as the Glycerin (which is expected), but they are still very comfy. I also love the shoelaces.

I have very narrow feet so it was great to be able to buy a shoe with a narrow option. These are THE most comfortable shoe I have ever worn and I am 80 years old. Buying shoes is always a challenge.

Fit was fine except for one thing that made them unwearable - the lining in the toe is gathered - bumpy - so that it pressed on two of the toes of my right foot. It took me months to figure out what was going wrong with my toes, which were suddenly developing painful calloused spots next to the corners of my nails. The shoes were plenty big, plenty of room in the toe box - except they were badly sewn. My previous pair of Brooks were a half-size smaller and not comfortable, so I'd ordered up a half size. But I just checked the first pair and they have the same protrusions in the toe box. I've worn Brooks shoes for years - don't know if this is a manufacturing glitch that will be fixed, but I'm going to try a different brand.

Back of my ankles continued to bleed each time I wore these shoes. The toe box is wide and comfortable, the arch support is great, but the back design/cut of the shoe left me bleeding through band-aides and cotton balls each time I went for speed walks. Very painful. No thank you-these shoes are going back.

Brooks Ghost 13 are wonderful shoes. I'm not a runner but I walk regularly and already own a pair that fits and feels better than any sneaker I've ever had. Also like the style, which provides a trim look without huge soles. I ordered these in the light blue and unfortunately, the color does not work for my needs. I am returning them, but I still highly recommend the shoes, even the blue, which is nice but not what I was looking for.

I have a wide foot and these fit perfectly.

The fit was fine, always a 9 in Brooks, but the insole is definitely not as supportive as my 12's. I also felt the exterior material of the shoe was thinner, looked cheaper than my previous Brooks. Returning them and found some 12's that work better for me.

I had a pair of Brooks Ghost 11 that I loved and completely wore out. I'm always nervous to try next generation shoes because they always make changes and not always for the better. The Ghost 13 are still very light, breathable, and comfortable. I love the color (lavender ombre). The only notable change for me is that the footbed is not quite so cushioned -- especially where the toes flex -- so it's not as comfortable for me as the 11's. But still, not a deal-breaker either. All in all, it's a good shoe with a sturdy sole that doesn't weigh me down. My original shipment was never delivered -- but Zappos Customer Service was responsive and caring, and they quickly replaced my order. No one can beat Zappos Customer Service!!
