Bottom line: decent iteration in the Ghost series, but not my favorite. Sizing is a bit large (took me a few tries) and I don?t love the mesh upper, but the ride is smooth, there is good traction for trails and the modifications to the tongue seemed to assist heel/ankle rotation. The heel cup is not as tight as in previous but didn?t notice any negative impact.

this pair replaced my Ghost 12. The 13 seems to be slightly smaller/shorter than the 12 in the same size. Also the tongue is narrower at the top and has thinner padding - I preferred the wider tongue on the 12 and numerous Ghosts prior to the 12.

I have traditionally run in ASICS (for the better part of 20 years) but have consistently read great reviews of the Ghost so when I retired my last pair of running shoes I decided to make the jump and get a pair of the Ghost 13?s. Even after all of the positive articles I?ve read I was still surprised with how great a shoe this truly is. It is a little more stiff than what I am used to but that certainly doesn?t hinder the feel or performance. They are light enough for speed workouts and supportive enough for the long days. This is a great shoe and based on the few weeks that I?ve had them I would highly recommend them. The one thing I can?t speak for is the durability given the short time that I?ve had them but if they last 300 miles I will definitely be buying another pair to keep in rotation.

Stuck with this one when renewing. Have the Ghost 11 which is more comfortable. Haven't run in these yet. Fit was closest to Ghost 11. Sent Glycerin 19 back due to Fit was too tight in toe box/fore foot. Did not try wide version for GLY 19.

I love the shoes. Only thing I don?t like is the laces. They are like rope so if you don?t double knot them they sometimes open up during running. Last two pairs were Ghost 12 and never had a problem with the laces.

Bought the Ghost 13 mainly for work since I'm on my feet for 10 plus hours a day and some light running. I have noticed that after a month the heel seems to be breaking down. I love them, but for the price I think they should last longer. Next time I think I'll try the Beast.

I prefer the Ghost 12 to the Ghost 13. I liked the wider tongue in the Ghost 12, which is one the best fitting shoes I have ever worn. The Ghost 13 is comfortable, but not as comfortable as the 12 (5 star rated).

I like the shoe, but does not seem as cushioned as previous models and feels a little stiffer as well

If you come from the Ghost 12 there will be no surprises with the fit. They fit true to size and are relatively roomy for a medium width shoe. The jury is out on some of the upgrades from the 12 however. Brooks extended the cushion material in the sole further forward. This puts some pressure on the bottom middle of my foot. Not painful but I still hope this will resolve with more use. Brooks also skimped a bit on the reflective material compared to the 12, which had a nice bright triangle on the heel. Finally, they changed the lace material, which is now more slippery. Double knotting it seems to keep it secure though. Overall still a great running shoe, but not necessarily a step forward from the old model. Except the color options, the tomato looks great!

I purchased these for my 19 year old college who is in college. He has to do a lot of walking to his classes and his previous brand shoes wear out rather fast. He suggested this brand as we had hear good things about Brooks. He said they seem to be very comfortable so far. My only issue is that these shoes look like old man shoes, not like shoes a college kid should be wearing. Which they looked more stylish.

Ghost 13 is a comfortable pair of running shoes, however, I like the ghost 12 better because of its tighter fit.

The shoe looks good, I am sure it will feel great when I wear it..Need to have more color selection in 4E. I work in health care and brooks is the only shoes that works for me..

A little snug at first but once on sneakers fit like a glove. Nice sole that slightly “rolls” with step. Very good feature.
No crazy about same exact style for men as for women. There should be at least some discernible difference in colors or design. Nonetheless, a very good choice for any runner.

11.5 feels snug but not in length or width, more like height of toe box or arch area.

Regarding the Brooks Ghost 13.....I have been wearing Brooks shoes for almost 20 years. I was initially impressed by the fact that they were slightly wider than advertised, which perfectly fit my foot (which is somewhere between medium and wide for almost all other shoes). Plus, they were very durable. Over the last 6 years, I've had Ghost 5, 12, and now 13. They have been getting narrower over time for the same width designation. I initially bought Ghost 13 through another supplier @ 11.5 EE, which had been comfortable in the past. They were so narrow, I couldn't even get the shoe on my foot. These were sent back, and i ordered a 12 EEEE just to see if it could work. The width is exactly right, and the length is probably between 1/4 - 1/2" long, which I would expect for the added shoe size, but still works in this case. But to now need EEEE width when my feet have NOT changed over time is slightly ridiculous; especially since there is only one color (white) you can purchase for that width. My designation of "felt true to size" and "felt true to width" needs to take into consideration these comments; ie- you may need to order a wider shoe than you would normally buy. I'd be curious to know if others are finding the same issue.
