As you can see in the photo, I’m a big fan of the Brooks Revel. The pairs on the floor are Revel 2’s, size 9. When I ordered new ones later, the 9 was too big. So with lots of back & forth & wonderful customer service, I went with the Revel 4 in black size 8.5 & the Revel 5 in white, size 8.5. I replaced the laces in both pairs. Why Brooks went with the super long, ordinary laces is beyond me. The shoes aren’t cheap & deserve better laces. The laces are VASGO. 39” for my narrow fit.

I purchased the Revel 4 for 3-4 mile walks. I'm usually a size 8 in Nike running shoes and the size 8 in Revel 4 was just right. Of course I haven't yet "tested" them outside, but hopefully they will work out fine. I also should mention that I like the way they look i.e. not too clunky or big as many running shoes often look so big on me. In fact, I first tried the Ghost 14 in light gray and the toe box looked bulbous and they actually were not as comfortable as the Revel 4. Love Zappos!!!
