I bought these boots 3 months ago and waited to post my review based on others I read saying they were poor quality, which I have not had the same experience. The quality has been great. I wear them every day for office work, and also casually, and they have held up as expected. I personally like the style and they are overall comfortable, although I did have to break them in for a few days which is pretty standard. I would recommend and may purchase another pair.

I bought these for my husband this Christmas because he had no nice waterproof boot. He has worn them more times than I can count and is always showing them off to his friends.

I have had a couple sets of these boots. Their waterproof and warm for rainy cold weather, 40*ish. These boots took literally no time to break in and lasted a good while. The leather upper cleans easily and refreshes well. Their are the least clunky of my winter boots so literally a go everywhere boot.

Comfortable, light, waterproof. Great work boot. I have looking for the perfect farm boot for years. Now I've found it.

I bought this boot on a fall colors trip to the NC mountains. It's the first shoe that I've purchased in years that fit perfectly right from the box. Comfortable insole and grippy outsole that hikes well and looks great!

These are great boots that have served my husband well, but Sorel has FAILED by discontinuing this style and not replacing with ANY other "casual" (non clunky rubber) style that is insulated. Why?! Do men hate warm feet unless they are wearing ridiculously large clunky boots?

Really good shoes. Comfortable and tacky but one thing I would like to mention about the heels and platform dimensions mentioned on the description is not right. Or maybe I am the only one with a faulty piece. Other then that is a nice one

Love the style and comfortability of the boot. Rocks well with all types of styles. Only giving it a 4 because the emblem has been rubbing even with thick socks. Assuming that'll stop after a couple of months.

Awesome lightweight boot, love the expedition look and for....my only complaints are that the insert of the boot is super hard, and that the bottom should have been more robust with deeper grooves. These are essentially worthless in the snow. Make them a little heavier with better grip... in my opinion they run a tad small.

I was looking for a boot that i could wear in the rain and light snow, for when i'm in the great outdoors, and yet still have it be stylish for urban life. This definitely is stylish, but not sure how long I could wear it during the day. When I first put it on, the heel portion was so stiff that it was hurting my heels. The inner sole that the shoe comes with is horrible so I immediately put in a Dr. Schoels (spelling?) insert, which seems to help. Then I had to wear 2 pairs of socks to soften it up on the inside. I wore it around the house to break it in a bit, and it helped, but if I go out to nature, with rain, light snow, or even when its dry, I can already feel that I would get blisters around my heels and possibly towards my toes. This can't be used as a replacement for hiking boots in the snow, which is disappointing, because I planned on using it a lot.
I am seriously considering returning them. I had read other reviews that made it seem like it was a sneaker disguised as a boot and that is not the case. For the money, I expected a bit more comfort and fit.

Good looking, sturdy, waterproof boot. Fits very true to size for me. Not lined so not a first choice for a cold weather boot. A little stiff, but should be fine with a little breaking in.

I love them but i cant seem to find a decent priced boot that will last a year. They are great on the feet. Only complaint about functionalitly is the sideways grip. On wet surfaces they are extremly slippery with a sideways load on the tread. I know thos about them now so its not so much of an issue. My biggest complaint over all is the sole coming detatched from the boot. :(

Narrow in heal and width in mid section / toe seems too large in comparison. Odd fit. Will need to return. The look is perfect just wish they fit different.

Solid boot that looks good enough to wear in professional settings as well as on the trail. The sole provides enough traction on most surfaces, but will still slip on wet wood. The cushioning on the inside of the boot does not feel adequate at first (at least transitioning from aftermarket gel inserts from my last boots), but I've gotten used to it after a week or so.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

Poor SupportGreat Support
I ordered multiple boots. I have some challenges with my feet. I need shoes that have good arch support and cushioning in the footbed, as well as a wider width. These boots are ankle high and are like a rainboot disguised as a hiking boot. They are easy to lace up and get on and off. These are very loose and wide with no cushioning or arch support. The sole is thin and unstructured.

I am on my second pair of these boots, I returned the first pair as they stopped being "waterproof" within 2 weeks of just walking my dog on wet dewy grass. My second pair stayed water resistant for possibly a month but then the socks started to get wet through the sewn seam on the front. I also had to add new inner soles as they were not comfortable after just a few hours of walking around. Definitely wouldn't spend a day hiking in these boots, especially if slightly wet outside.

These boots are stylish and feel great. They're true to size. I really enjoyed wearing them. After three seasons the toe bumper began to separate on both sides on each boot. Once the toe bumper went, it's basically a hole straight to the inside letting in the cold, and of course water. So, sadly the boot doesn't last too long.

I like the look and style, which is why I bought them in the first place. However, they did not work well with my feet. After 5 steps in the house with them on I was getting hotspots on my heels which would indefinitely end up causing blisters. I returned them immediately. The toe box was nice and roomy and great for accommodating thicker socks which is ideal for winter.

First off I love the feel and look of this boot speaks PNW. I purchased the boot several years ago towards the end of winter. Worn them a couple of times in the winter and spring and then put them away for summer. Took them out after a few months for upcoming Fall and Winter, these were my primary boot that I wore that Fall and Winter I would say solid 5 days a week. After 3 months the stitches around the heal and upper started to come apart. In addition the sole started to separate from leather, had to get some boot glue to glue it back up. As I was paste the return period there is nothing could be done. As I said earlier the fit and comfort was really good. But the boot will not last a season, at least that's was my experience. How much you pay for these boots you would expect at least few seasons out of them.

Left boot digs into the heel. Lacing up top feels sloppy. Included insoles are bargin basement and will need replacement immediately. At least they look great. Size down, they run slightly large. I'm a 13 and bought a 12.

I have to give them two stars compared to the ankeny 1s. Everything about the Ankeny 1 boot was better, the look, the construction, the shape, the materials, everything. And the Ankeny 1 was all black. The gum colored soul with the black boot just looks tacky. Bring back the Ankeny 1 please!

Bought my second pair of these in January. I wear them often here in Portland as it's normally raining this time of year and Im routinely walking through wet grass and underbrush. Within the first 3 wearings, the left shoe became noticeably lighter than the right, meaning the right boot retained its dark color while the left boot lightended to a tan color. Also, within a month of wear now, I went to put on my boots this morning and the inside on each was completely wet. Im using these boots primarily to walk in while walking my pup around the neighborhood, through the local school yards, and local forest with packed trails. Im really disappointed.

I bought this shoe 3 days ago and the toe bumper is starting to fall off on both shoes. Went on one short hike and worked in them for a few hours. Will return.
Looks and feels great. Do not last!
