I got a size 9, which fits perfect with an insert to tighten up the heal area. My foot is just under 9.5 inches-which is 8. But is almost 4 inches at widest part. I tried 8, 8.5 and 9... 9 worked best. No squished toes! The flat style is great for active days. The black patent has personality and a sleek sexy urban vibe. Great with leggings or jeans. My new go-to shoe!!

I bought about 12 pairs of ankle boots, hoping for a classic boot look with the comfort of a sneaker. Yes, high expectations. I bought a pair from just about every major brand. These Sorels have the most comfortable footbed by far! I would have preferred the look of a classic low-heeled leather boot, but these new styles with a single piece of cushy rubber from heel to toe are MUCH more comfortable for a middle aged woman (55). They are disappointingly narrow, and I was considering having them stretched, but the leather is thin and they're stretching a little by themselves. (But I won't be able to wear them with medium or thick socks. And I do not have a wide foot. ) My big complaint though, other than the narrowness, is that the brown coloring is scuffing off super easily. After only trying them on, briefly and very carefully, a few times, the brown color had scraped of the leather at the toe and where my short fingernail made contact with the boot. After that I felt I HAD to keep them! I've only worn them once, grocery shopping, and it looks like I've had them for a year. Awesome to walk in, but mixed review otherwise.

These boots are super cute and I love the way they look and the big deep tread. However, they're way too narrow for me to even get my foot inside. Would work best for someone with very slim feet and low instep.

I really wanted a pair of these Harlow Zip because of their fun modern style, waterproofing, and a sole that looks like you could walk through anything. However, I wish there was significant arch support. Shame. Would have been a perfect boot! I need boots I could rely on for standing and walking long hours. So, sadly they went back.

I think these are lovely boots, but for the price they are too rough in the inside. I am returning because they rub my ankles. I have narrow feet (wear a AA width) and these fit nicely in the front, but not so much on my heel. I think they are better suited for regular width. Wide feet might have a hard time with these. Overall they look great, but if they don't feel good they are going back. For reference, I also bought a pair of "cheap" $60 boots and they have a nicer lining than these sorels do.

I love the style of this boot. Looks great casual or dressed up. I also loved the grippy sole. Good traction on rainy days. However, I felt that the boot was quite narrow. Wished the boot came in a wide width.

Runs very narrow. I have narrow feet, and these were too narrow. Recommend order a half-size up.

This may be the near-perfect shoe. I manage a nature park, and these are the best boots, they look professional enough for the office, but are rugged enough to hit the trails. Only downside is they are too hot for summer wear and no insulation for long stretches outdoors in the depths of winter.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these!! I got the gray and the leather is beautiful and buttery. The cushion is just right, SO comfortable. Unfortunately, they were just too narrow for me to wear (especially with socks) even when I sized up a half and even whole size. I’m so sad I can’t wear them. If your feet are regular or on the narrow side, go for it. You will love them!

I am returning the first pair and went up a half size so I could wear heavy winter socks with my boots. Otherwise, these boots are just what I wanted--they look great and are terrific on snow and ice.
