I wear a size 7 and have a slightly wider foot, with a more narrow heel. I ordered a 7 and once on, they felt snug in the width, but true to length. However, like so many other boots without a side zipper, these were difficult to get on and off. I can see where after not much use, the elastic side goring would likely become stretched out. I do have a high instep and high arch, so boots are typically harder to get on my foot. I wish they would just add a zipper enabling ease of putting on and taking off. As far as workmanship, comfort and style...the boots are beautiful, high quality craftsmanship and leather, and were very comfortable to walk around in, and would only improve with use and conforming to the foot. The leather has a slight distressed look to it, which is probably what others' have considered "cheap" looking. These are not made of cheap leather, but the process of distressing gives them an aged, broken in appearance. That's exactly what I love about them, and the stud details just add to the overall look. Truly a well-made, beautiful boot which would be very comfortable for whatever you choose to do while wearing them. Waterproof leather and sealed seams only add to the quality. Of the 5 pairs of boots I've tried, these are truly my favorites and I might re-order them in a size 7-1/2 if I don't find any boots that I like more. If you're curious, I've tried Blundstone (remarkable, but impossible to get on), Ugg Bonham III (sheepskin-lined and sooo comfortable, but a bit of an odd look to them), Eastland Ida (super cute, but overall quality less than the others, but priced accordingly) and lastly, Born Cove (well-made, good looking, but they run narrow and long). All the boots had very good traction, which for me, is a must in a boot. What can I say, I'm looking for the perfect fall/winter boot and won't settle for less. Boots generally last me for years, so I'm willing to keep looking and pay for premium quality. I also recommend Ariat and Frye boots - both well-made and comfortable.

These shoes do NOT look cheap like another review says. They were a little tight so I exchanged for a half size bigger than what I normally wear. Keep in mind this is the first time I have ordered from Sorel. I normally wear a 8.5/9 but some brands I do go up to 9.5 if I need to. I wanted to accommodate my thick socks so I went up. Felt super grippy and sturdy, great for some Wisconsin winters. Can’t wait to break these puppies in!

Beautiful boot! I wanted them to work, but I have a very low volume foot and got major heel lift when walking.

The fit and size were good. My only real complaint is that the leather looks fake/ cheap. It has a rough texture to it. They do not seem worth the money. They are going back.

Fit was snug in the toes but my heel slipped up when walking; so disappointed and had to return. The leather was a bit cheap looking too.

It’s definitely a boot you need to size up a 1/2 if you don’t have really narrow feet or if you want to wear a thicker sock. I put an arch support in them they’re basically flat. Great boot for the style like a Blundstone with out the cost.

Bought this first in an 8.5... my normal, but sometimes I will go to a 9 in certain footwear. It was so difficult getting my foot through the opening and down into the foot of the boot. I did, but the boot just felt tight, so I sent it back and ordered the 9. And so happy... very comfortable, it was still hard to make it down and around the corner, so to speak, I wouldn’t want anyone watching me as I was wrestling to get my foot in...felt like Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters...but after a few times they go on nicely. I like the feel. I like the leather, and that the boot is waterproof. Love the sole and the stacked heel. Looks and feels rugged, exactly what I was looking for. I live in the country, more dirt and grass then sidewalk, or any hard surface. I bought them so I can walk through the woods in them. They fit the bill. I was concerned about the elastic sides stretching out, so I will have to see how they hold up. But very cute boot. I have worn them with jeans and a skirt and leggings. After a couple hours walking around, they felt good on my feet, no rubbing. I should buy an extra pair, as it is difficult to find ones I like.

These boots are very comfortable and super cute! I have have bunions so finding shoes that don't hurt or pinch is hard. Love these boots!

These boots are even more good looking in person! I agree that they are a little hard to get on and off, and they do run small. I ended up exchanging for a half size bigger than my usual size and that helped with width. I’ve worn them a couple times and they do seem to be breaking in a little more, which helps. They are very stylish and comfortable. The leather is very nice, too—no idea why anyone would say they look cheap! I think they’ll just get better and better with wear.
