This is for Black/Pink Glo: I'm between a 4.5 and 5 (small feet!). Got a 5.5 and placed an arch support insole. And I am loving these sneakers! So much that I got another pair in different color to be worn indoors. Before this, I tried Nimbus 22, size 5.5, and it was too tight. Definitely order 1/2 size up and maybe a full size up if you're going to use your own insoles. For months, I was suffering from achy sore feet from a pair of very old Nimbus. I am finally finding relief. Going to try running again!

Perfect Fit. I know some reviews say to go up one-half size. I didn't do that, and my fit is perfect. The shoe is snug, but I prefer that over my foot sliding around. I have flat feet and other feet issues as well as lower back pain. These shoes have good arch support and great cushioning. The are also lightweight, another bonus.

This shoe is very comfortable. Downside is that the laces are 6" shorter than on the Cumulus 20's I bought last year. This makes tying shoes, at least on feet with high arches, difficult. Had to relace and skip a set of holes. Not impressed with ASICS for cutting corners on laces.

a very nice shoe, well cushioned, but the toe is must simply too narrow and pushes the big toe inwards

Overall, these shoes are great. However, I would recommend wearing them with really thick socks like Bombas. I wore Old Navy athletic socks ONE DAY with these shoes and I got a nasty blister. Overall, very comfortable, although to be honest they don't feel like they're worth the high price point, but we'll see!

I really wanted to love these! I am trying to replace my Brooks Glycerin 16 (don't like newer versions) and these sneakers came the closest. However, there is just not enough cushion in the heel. I have a narrow foot, and these actually run very narrow. I liked the fit and the arch support, but the cushion was a deal breaker.

I have worn this type of ASICS for years and for some reason this pair feels narrower and tighter in the shoe box than others I’ve owned. With a thin sock they are okay but not the fit I expected.

I really hate these shoes. They are tight, they are stiff. I even sized up to an 11 wide from a 10. Not an ASICS fan anymore.

REALLY, ASICS??? Depending on what color you purchase, the shoe is different. Not all of the Cumulus 22s are the same. The Black/White and the Breeze/Black get five stars all around. The tongue is padded, but not excessively; the forefoot is roomy; the laces aren’t too short; and they provide a sleek, comfortable fit that is true to size. What I don’t care for is the color. Peach is not my favorite and unfortunately the only Cumulus 22s that have the fit I described have a lot of peach. All of the other colors provide a terrible fit. If you zoom in, you can see that the first two colors have 5 rectangular eyes for lacing, the others have 6 round eyes with a plastic ring around each; the first have a longer, flatter tongue, the others have a shorter, thick tongue; the upper materials are also different. These differences change the fit of the shoe and make the other colors feel shorter, narrower, and very tight across the instep. Five stars to the colors mentioned by name for being a great fit that is comfortable out of the box; true to my normal running shoe size; cushioned; supportive; soft, and breathable. One star for the other colors: they are bulky, tight, hot, the laces are too short, and they are hot due to all the excessive padding on the tongue and ankle. I hope Asics will make more colors in the first style. It’s a mystery to me why the fit and style is so drastically different on the same version of this shoe…

I love the appearance of these shoes and really wanted them to work. Because I cover about 5-6 miles a day, I change my running shoes regularly. I've worn Mizuno Wave Runner for years but, after reading negative reviews of the new model, so I decided to try the Cumulus instead. After the first time I ran in them, I noticed that my knee hurt the next day but I didn't connect that pain with the shoe, at first. But a few weeks later, out of curiosity, I switched back to my Wave Inspire 15s to see if that would help. The knee pain stopped. It's bizarre: the Cumulus shoes feel super comfortable and cushiony (no blisters or odd rubbing) if I'm not moving yet my feet start to feel strangely sore when I wear them. I've never experienced that with running shoes before and thought perhaps I just needed to wear them in. But after a couple of months of giving these a try, then reverting back to my old worn out Mizunos, I'm convinced that something about the Cumulus just doesn't complement my pronation and really affects my knee (even walking), so these shoes are not for me, even though I do love their appearance and coloring.
I'd also recommend:

I had never tried Asics before and have wide feet. 9 1/2 W in a Brooks shoe fits me perfect. These were entirely too snug and just felt wimpy for support in the arch.

I returned these shoes because they didn't fit like any of the previous ASICs shoes I've had. The toe box is very uncomfortable and the new kind of heel support is also very uncomfortable. There was very little support in the arch and heel area.

This seems like a great shoe but it is too narrow! I never order a "wide" and sadly when I tried to exchange it, the "wides" were sold out.

These sneakers were comfortable and the bottom has lasted a long time. It bums me out to leave such a bad rating on them overall, but the material around the toes is WAY too thin. I was able to see my socks through them from day one, but looked past it because they were expensive and comfortable. Over the last few weeks (the shoes were just over a year old), the material has been basically shredding and now there are several holes in both shoes. These shoes were used for pretty standard wear -- mostly walking the neighborhood. For shoes that cost this much, I expected them to last much longer.

I've been wearing Asics shoes for years and they've always been very consistent in size. Something has changed because these shoes felt a full size too small. It was difficult to get them on my feet just to try them on, and once on, were painful to wear. They were so narrow that my feet felt like they were in a vice. I double-checked to make sure I had received the correct size, and I had. What the heck happened? I'll be returning this pair and am now apprehensive about making future purchases of the Asics brand.

This year's version of the Gel Cumulus (22) is much narrower than last year's in the toe box and the quality of the materials is not comparable. So sadly, sending them back.

I bought these sneakers in June and by September they were worn out at the ball of the foot. I am not a runner only a walker. I was truly disappointed when I contacted Asics about this. They said so what!!

I sent these shoes back. I have worn Asics for at least 20 years but the size seems to have changed. These had a tight toe box and just did not fit me.

Two months into running with these and I have knee problems. My old Adidas Energy Boosts (bought four years ago, I don't even think they make them anymore) still give me better support even with hundreds of miles on them. Do not recommend.

Terribly disappointed for the 2nd time. Same problem, I ordered 9 WIDE(D). Once again the box marked 9 WIDE but the shoe is clearly tagged 9. This is a quality control issue and I’m over it. Please refund my account and send return mailer. Thank you
