The Women's Ember Springs down coat is a wonderful, comfy, long coat with a fitted feeling and yet all the room to move about comfortably while moving around outdoors. The coat protects in wind and snow and provides a great barrier to frigid temperatures. I live in northern Michigan and have worn this coat in very cold winter weather and love it!

This jacket has a beautiful design and it feels like you a wrapped in a cloud when you wear it. Very comfortable and warm. I wore it for the first time a few days ago when it was super windy and around 32-34 degrees and I was very warm and comfortable. Just Iike the description says, it does run big. I normally wear a size small, but I bought this jacket in XS and it fits me perfectly. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a petite length option. I'm 5'3" and it falls a little below my knees making it slightly uncomfortable if I wanna walk faster, taking bigger steps.

Seattle is not often cold enough for this kind of coat, but when it is - you want it. This is a well insulated winter coat. An XL might have fit OK, but I bought an XXL after reviewing the Size Guides. This coat is an "active fit" and I wanted to make sure it had enough room inside for the down to do it's job. Some didn't like the double flaps over the zipper, but I think it looks better at the neckline and is very warm. This coat has two hand warmer pockets above the waist. They are small, close with snaps, and on me, they are right at the bust. Not very comfortable to use. The two zippered pockets below the waist are comfortable to put hands in. The inside pocket has a vertical opening and closes with velcro. This coat has soft knit cuffs stitched inside the sleeves, a few inches from the bottom, and elastic binding on the end of the sleeve. The cuffs keep the wind out and there is room for your gloves to be overlapped by the sleeve - nice. Great piece to have for those very cold days.

Beautifully made coat; warm and good for really bad weather. Flattering shape. Very happy to find a knee-length coat. However: The hood cannot be removed and is heavy. With the hood up if you turn your head you can't see: it's too big. The snaps down the front need to be fastened to look good and they are a bit hard to fasten and undo. I can't imagine how you'd use the tiny side pockets on the chest- very awkward to reach and to snap shut, and there's no inside security pocket. It is great quality and I am sadly returning because of the hood, the snap difficulty and the fact it is too heavy for travel. .

I've done a ton of research while replacing a winter coat during harsh NE weather. I wanted something that would last 5+ years but isn't a shapeless sack. This coat is amazing and toasty without being heavy. I'm 5'10 and it comes to just below my knees, which I really appreciate. Two complaints: the arm homes are tiny. I am a size 4, purchased a M so that I could have some layering room, and I'm glad that I did because a S wouldn't have fit in the arms. Also, the inner cinch string had literally shredded in the first two days by getting caught in the zipper - really a lack of quality here. There isn't even a toggle for it so you're expected to tie it into a ball knot? Just use a toggle and shorten the string, Columbia. One other mention - the outer button flaps stick straight out if you don't button them down over the coat zipper so they look a little weird. Overall, I'm very pleased with this coat and can see it lasting for years. The Malbac color is even richer in person, its a nice alternative to black (which was constantly out of stock). I really do recommend this!

I'm 5'9", 145lbs. I have another Columbia down jacket in size medium that fits. I ordered medium in this jacket despite the warnings because I like my jackets to be a bit roomie. Medium was in fact too big! Will be exchanging for a small because I liked it otherwise.

I'm 5'9 and 150lbs, and I ordered a large because I have pretty long arms I just want to always make sure my arms are covered and it's usually a good fit. This jacket is huge. Like huge. In the picture it goes down to right above the knee, again I'm pretty tall and this goes way past my knee. It might as well just be a giant comforter. Size down. I'm gonna have to send it back.

I was so worried I wouldn't have a chance to try it! We've had a warm winter, but had one below 30* day recently, so I tried it out. This coat is so cozy; it feels like you're wearing a blanket! I sized up for layering, but could have probably gotten my regular size.

This coat is warm, and fits perfectly. A winter essential.

I got a large. It's so warm, covers you completely, and looks great too. Can adjust waste cinch. Several pockets. Love this jacket.

I have been looking for a jacket that looks good but at the same time protects from the weather as you expect it to do so and this one right here it's just perfect, usually wear a size medium but decided to go with Large size to be more comfortable and it works just right.

Coat fit beautifully with just a tee shirt and jeans. Sweaters might make it a tight fit. Warm; beautifully tailored. Loved the faux covered buttons.

I love , love this jacket. I am 5'2 and I weigh 145. I got a size L because I wanted to be able to wear a sweater underneath it and still feel comfortable and I sure did. Definitely recommend this winter jacket.

I am beyond satisfied with my purchase. I've only ever purchased Columbia outerwear and this coat is another great addition. The fit is true to size and I love that it is longer so my legs are not as exposed to the elements. VERY warm!

After seeing this coat on someone, I had to purchase it myself. I'm so glad I did. It very warm and stylish! I can wear just t-shirt underneath.

This coat was put to the test the day I got it. We've had arctic weather so cold schools are getting canceled and I feel so snug and warm anytime I walk outside. 10/10

Love this coat! So warm, good quality. Flattering on thicker girls too! I am between a XL and XXL (nothing seems to fit, either too small or baggy). An XL was more spacious than North Face or Nike jackets, was perfect. Im 5'6", 235lbs, 40DDD between a 14-16 for reference. Can zip, little snug over a hoodie but comfortable.

Light duck smell, besides that all good. 1 Size down from other coat

Love this coat, tried on many brands and styles, this was the best fit, quality and price. Highly recommend!
