5th pair of Kayanos, all the past are 5 stars. But these ones have a faint in the toe cap. The fabric on the cap cuts into my big toes on right and left shoes. Is tried breaking them in, but they are basically unwearable at this point.

Not as comfortable as the 26. Lumpy soles. Would not buy again. Wish we had more 26's.

Unfortunately, these shoes have a weak toe cap that folds inward, rubbing my toes. I thought it was just my pair, but when I went to the store to exchange them, I saw it was the happening with the display shoes as well. Too bad, because they were otherwise very comfortable. I bought the Gel-Kayano 26 instead, and that one has a stronger toe cap.

Material quality seems like it has gone down hill, starting to wear in spots where the Kayano-26 did not.

I love the Kayanos and had 3 pairs of the 25s. These seemed much narrower, not as much support as the 25, less aggressive tread/sole, and just not the same. I’ve worn them for a week. I’ll keep wearing them since I can’t send back, but. It real happy with this model change.

Very comfortable. However they did not last long. I blew a hole on the outside n 2 weeks.

You suggested I order a smaller size than what I usually do and they were too narrow and short.

I have only been able to use the shoes twice. There is a plastic toe guard that seems to be defective on the right shoe, because it cuts into my big toe when running. The left shoe is very comfortable.

I have owned 3 previous models of the Kayano. I am not as much a fan of the 27's based on the fact that when I push off, the the toe box "creases" a little bit and ends up hitting my toe. This is vey annoying when walking especially. I don't feel it as much when I am running. I had to return them.

Lots of little fabric spurs in the heel and wear immediately after only a few times walking in the shoe. If I were to try running, my heel would blister. The structure and fit are great.

I really like this shoe, but have been disappointed with the toe/front of the shoe. Since I purchased them last month, a crease has formed on the front of the right shoe that diggs into my big toe. The discomfort is enough that I try to put them on right before, and take them off immediately after a run. But for this issue I'd give them a 5/5

I bought these because I love the Kayano 26. This new design is nothing like the previous model, in a bad way for me. The toe is EXTREMELY pointy, not rounded like 26. The overall shape of the shoe is different also. This one isn't for me, I'll stick with the previous model.

run narrower then my last several sneaks old style and tighter in the toe area. Also my several previous same sneaks were leather and did not get so marked up so not a fan at all the new design. You should bring back the old style

For some reason, the top of the shoe around the toe area turns black. I don't know if it's because the material that reinforces the toe is bleeding through the white cloth. I know what you're thinking, he must be dragging his toes as he walks. Trust me I did not even walk with them outside and they turned completely black around the top. After every use, I have to wash them. Never had another pair of shoes do this before.

I have been running exclusively in ASICS shoes for 10+ years, mostly in the Gel Kayano model and this is the ugliest version ever. It's probably a good shoe, but it looks cheap like lasts year's bargain basement shoe.

I wear size 11 perfectly in th GT 2000 7. The same size in this shoe is larger and I returned it for another pair of GT 2000 7's!

The sneaker was poorly designed. it has a tip in the front that cause pain. I've brought sneakers in the past & never has this type of problem.

I have worn the Gel-Kayano line forever, mainly for the Dynamic Duomax ache support. And the new versions are crap. the ache support is gone. the foamy sole gives out within a week. Please go back to models 26 and back to put out a worthy shoe.

I decided to try these instead of usual purchase of the GEL-NIMBUS. I'm very disappointed in the fit and comfort. These definitely aren't as comfortable as the GEL-NIMBUS. Will be returning to buying that model of shoe

the toe box folds in on both shoes rubbing my big toe. Have several pairs of Asics never had this happen before. I asked Asics customer service how to setup the return 2 weeks ago and have not heard back.

This is perhaps the most painful breakup I've ever had. I've been wearing Gel Kayanos for roughly 20 years. They were the only shoe that really fit my foot and supported my over-pronation. I bought two pairs every year until two years ago. That's when they started not to feel right. I bought two pairs of 27's about two weeks ago. The crease in the toe box was so extreme when I walked or ran I had to return them. I tried on the 28's and they were really no better plus the hard plastic arch support was gone (buried in foam is what the salesperson told me but I couldn't feel the support). After all these years, I've had to switch brands. What a bummer. I hope that Asics goes back to the drawing board on the Gel Kayanos and while they do it, use the blueprint of a model prior to the 26's just to get a decent shoe out to the public. Again, I used to love these running shoes and even wore them to the office. I have 8 old pairs in the closet to prove it but they're wearing thin in the soles. So very sad. Goodbye Asics... it wasn't me... it was you. (wish it was the other way around)
