It's a nice coat. Arrived too late to test the bitter cold this February but seems warmer than the Heavenly Long I have been wearing for the past few years that was adequately warm enough for northern Iowa winters. I knew when buying that it didn't have an interior pocket or thumb holes in the cuffs but I still find that fact disappointing- I feel those things should be standard on all Columbia coats. It also doesn't have the Omni heat material in the sleeves. Otherwise the lightweight warmth is everything I hoped it would be. I ordered a size larger than my usual so I could layer under it comfortably when needed.

At first I felt a chill on my upper back (from the omni material )when I did not zipper coat all the way up. It was on a day when temps were in the teens with a brisk wind. Once I did zipper up all the way , that chill went away. Very nice color, - maroon, light weight, great length, easy to zipper, but might need an extra layer during very cold and windy days ( cold below the 20's). The hood is a very nice feature with pull strings, easy to keep snug around head or over a hat. I gave this item 4 stars because I would have loved extra pockets inside or outside. But the 2 outside pockets are deep and useful.

I like it a lot... BUT there are only two pockets.

I am 5'8" and 135lbs, and the Small fits great! It looks sleek and sporty and cool. Like other reviewers have noted, it's light. So, it feels amazing now (almost November), but I don't know how it will stand up to real winter here in Minnesota. We'll see! Also I REALLY wish there were a breast pocket. I assumed there would be. I like to keep my wallet in my breast pocket all winter, but I guess I'll carry a purse. I am going to keep this coat though, since it looks so good :)

This is a cute coat but it could be better. I wish the pockets were deeper and it would be nice if it had inside pockets. Another problem is that my coat closet is near my kitchen and I've found that the inside lining takes on cooking smells.

Color and overall fit is great; only 3/5 stars because pockets could be deeper (I'm always afraid my phone is going to fall out) and additional inner pockets would have been nice. There is a sleeve liner that is nice, but it's tight (it's like having a long sleeve performance shirt sewn into the sleeve of the jacket) and I can't wear the jacket with thick sweaters because of it. I was hoping this jacket would fully replace my long black north face jacket, but it doesn't function as well with the tight sleeves and fewer pocket options, so I can't part with the other jacket as my go-to. This jacket is only worn as my more formal looking warm winter coat, and when I'm not wearing anything bulky underneath; not as an every day winter coat as I had hoped.

This coat looks great- great color and fit. However, I have had two zippers break on Columbia coats in the past two years and the zipper on this one is already starting to stick and act finicky after only a few wears...I obviously already took the tag off. Sigh. I know, I know, you're wondering why I keep buying Columbia coats. I love the look, fit and weight but will be beside myself if another zipper breaks!!!! I've learned my lesson and have saved the receipt and can hopefully do a warranty claim if it breaks. I recommend saving receipts if you purchase this coat. It is super cute though.

I sent this back because the hood ties were so weird. They snake through the hood by around 3-4 inches. And no interior pocket. I guess I didn't notice the hood in the product images, or the lack of interior product.

There are only 2 pockets (both zippered) at the waist for your hands. You can’t hold much else. Otherwise, I’d love to keep this jacket for it’s lightweight warmth and flattering cut. But it’s just not practical without a pocket to hold things (besides your hands).

Not perfect. One size fit but was too close to the body. No way to wear a sweater under it. When I went up a size. The shoulders were huge and the arms became way too long. Just not what I was hoping for.

This coat is lightweight. The zip up collar and hood are nice and functional. I got an XS which was fine but wouldn't allow for bulky layers with my 5'2" 105 lb frame. I kept it for a few days, wearing it when I let the dogs out. I ended up returning it because for the price I felt it should have a cell phone pocket, sleeve heat lining and the body lining shows when you have the zipper down at all. It has a tin foil look to it which detracts from the rest of the coat's nice style. I just didn't love it which is a requirement for me to keep it.

So disappointed. Unless the coat is zipped & snapped up to the top, the hood drops down over my face. Beautiful Canyon Blue color. Love the rest of the coat, but the hood is a deal breaker. Will be returning.

I love this coat. I wish I could keep it. The hood is perfect sized, the neck fits perfect and doesn't drown my face like some other brands, everything above the waist fits fabulously. The arms are finally long enough for me! The cuffs are soft elastic. Unfortunately, as with all longer Columbia coats, it won't fit me below the waist. I'm, pear shaped so the booty was too tight, and in turn, cold since there was no loft in the coat in that area. The pockets are over the stomach, so using them makes it even weirder looking that it's tight around my butt/thighs. It sucks being medium on top and large on the bottom. If I size up, I'll be swimming in the top.

Seemed like a warm comfortable jacket but didn't fit me well at all. It was pretty long on my relatively short (5'5") frame and was generally too big in some areas and just not flattering so I returned it.

The fit is odd. The arms are wide and long. I'm 5'6" 120 lbs. I purchased the XS and really wanted to love this jacket, but the arms kind of ruin the look.

Color was dull compared to photo. Not enough pockets. I am much less likely to carry a purse during COVID and have always appreciated the pockets in Columbia coats, but this one just has two small zippered pockets--none on the inside. Arrived late with strange route, going from west coast to the capital of my state to Chicago then back to the capital of my state and then to me. Like that it is waterproof and has a hood. Ran large but did not send it back because shipping is so slow.

I'm 5'8 and 153 lbs. I purchased a L to fit my shoulders. But after I tried it outside around 30F I realized all the air comes up from the bottom and I could not keep warm. too much fabric around the middle. I believe this jacket must need to be closer to body to work. the M was too small in the shoulder could not move my arms comfortably.

Great quality long jacket with a great hood. Runs small. I am 5'9", 145#, and the large was snug. If you like layering up, size way up. HOWEVER, the major flaw is the skinny sleeves. With just a light fleece on, I felt like I couldn't bend my arms (and I have skinny arms). Oh well.

Got this jacket for my birthday can loved it. Put an envelope full of birthday money in the "breastpocket" only to find out after losing it that it was not real pocket. Why in the world did you not add stitching to the bottom on the inside flap?! It doesn't make ANY sense. I am so disappointed, for the price this jacket should have more pockets.

This coat isn't exactly black and olive. It's gray/blue and olive. The black is not at all true black. There are only TWO pockets in the entire coat. No inside breast pocket, and no outside chest pockets either. That's the biggest bummer about this coat for me. Give women more than two coat pockets! Other than those flaws, the coat is cute and comfortable. As others have said, it's very thin. I'm hoping it keeps me warm when winter really starts. It has been too warm to keep on in the car, so I'm hopeful. I love how long the sleeves are, and how roomy it is. Just wish it had more pockets - especially an inside chest pocket. And I wish the black was actually BLACK.

Very cute as pictured but runs big. For perspective I am normally 5ft 4 110lbs but currently 36 pounds heavier/ 9 months pregnant (so mostly in my big belly) and i am able to zip it up over my belly. Had to return it because once the belly is gone its probably gonna look way too boxy in the waist. I had an extra small.

The arms were too tight, the bust was ok, but the hips were too tight. I am 115 lbs 5'2". It looked weel made but only has a few snaps at the top did not go the length of coat which I did not care for either.

This coat is cute, nice length, great reflective inside "vest" area. But the problem was the sleeves. They let all the cold air in when I'm outside for any length of time. And they have this cheap knit cuff that is only about 6 inches up and is thin and stretches out. The cuffs also are unfolding and will not hold up. Too bad because Columbia was always known for it's warmth. Not this time.

This is a lovely jacket: fits well, nice color, seems warm; love the Omni-heat. However, the zipper is a total deal breaker. It's laughable - couldn't get it to work after 5 tries. Neither could my spouse. Columbia needs to bite the bullet and provide better zippers. When I went back online to try a different, insulated women's winter jacket, and read the reviews - it's a common problem. People can't get their zipper to work on several of the coast, not just this one. Someone even got stuck in their coat! Columbia makes lightweight, warm, affordable winter coats. But without a zipper, they're not a valid choice! Too bad...

This coat is pretty but is not as warm as I thought. Also the pockets are in front of the coat not on the sides. That doesn't work for me. Definitely have to return for something warmer.
