Great winter hiking boot, minimal break-in time, warm and waterproof. Put on some Microspikes and gaiters you'll go thru anything.

I have ran my Rebel IV boots in snowy terrain, from 30 degrees down to -5 about 30 miles so far here in the Colorado Rockies. My feet have always been warm and not too warm on the warmer days. The break in periods is typical for a 8 tall boot, a little stiff out of the box but over time they loosen up for that great KEEN boot feel. I like that it has the hook for the boot gators which I wear in conjunction with the boots. I havent tried them with my snow shoes yet. The fit is on par with my other KEEN boots being 10.5 With regular socks these feel a little bigger but there is room to tighten them down and obviously room for thicker socks. All in all they are great, looking forward to many more miles in them and I will try to update my review.

I've had these boots for 3 months now. They are super warm, the fit is great and very comfy. Much lighter weight than my old winter boots. I use them when I'm working in the timber clearing brush. I always have cold feet so when it's down in the teens or below I use toe warmers to stay warm. I have narrow feet and wear a size 15 and these fit just right wearing thick winter socks.

I'm using this boot for nearly everything. Snowshoeing, walking the resort, to-from the store, etc. I love the slightly larger toe-box enabling movement. I've never had a cold foot since putting them on.

this is my sixth pair of shoes. I wear them now at temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius, and I can say that the shoes cope well with our frosts, but I am afraid to walk in them for more than an hour, because I think that the sole may burst, from being very cold in the cold. When tightening the laces, I feel like I'm wearing skates =)), but of course they are much lighter. The eyelets on the tongue of the shoe immediately came off when I tried to tighten the laces for a more comfortable fit to my foot. Too bad you can't attach a photo to the review.

These seemed pretty nice but one of the metal pieces popped off the second time they were worn. Now Im stuck with a pair of $200 boots that are broken.

I received the boots just in time for 2 heavy snow storms. They have proven themselves in heavy snow, on ice, and pushing out a stuck car. The traction is the best I could expect without going to Yak tracks. They are warm enough I needed to wear thinner wool socks. The toe box is plenty roomy without sliding around so my feet had good circulation. Perfect for winter needs.
My feet measure size 10D on a Brannock device and I consistently wear 10.5D in Keens (vent, waterproof, and winter).

I wear a size mens 10.5(always). They were too big, I returned them for a size 10, fit great!
Love the looks, comfort and warmth these boots provide. However, the metal lace eyelet at the top of the boot(left boot) popped out of the leather boot when lacing them. I didnt do anything out of ordinary when lacing them and it popped off. Keen is replacing them with new pair but odd this happened to the boot only after owning them for a couple weeks of mainly inside wear

Toe box too narrow especially for a brand that emphasizes a generous toe box. I can't imagine getting my foot into the boot with winter weight socks either...

Opened the box, took out the boots, tried em on. They fit as expected and they went into the truck for a weekend trip to 7 degree Temps and snow. Arrived at my destination, went to put my boots on and pulled a cinch hook right off.

Very nice fit and feel right out of the box. Very comfortable to me, even when putting on winter socks which are thicker, still a very good fit. Just had some snow and very cold temps, and stayed warm and feet didnt sweat. Still need to break them in, but very happy with the quality of these boots. Im sure they will be getting further testing as I wear them more this winter.
The only issue right now is the upper portion above the ankle that seems too rigid, but again, time will tell if they become more flexible.
Really am satisfied with my selection, the quality, and how the fit and feel of these boots.
Sincerely,
Steve

I usually wear a 15 2E (Extra Wide) and these fit great in a 15. A bit larger overall. I just went through up to -35 wind chills and 8-10 of snow in Wisconsin. These boots are super comfortable and warm. Dry and toasty. 400g feels WAY warmer for whatever reason in these than 600 & 800 Ive had before in other boots. I would say they are good for my every day wear but I still have a pair of insulated BOGGS (-75 rating) in my truck for the bad ones.

TBH, this is my first pair of Keens. Ive always used M***** because they had a wide toe box, virtually zero break-in period, but have always have a problem with durability. I turned to Keen because they advertised a wide toe, legendary durability, and I needed an insulated pair now that I live in Tahoe and love snow showing and shoveling snow!
Let me tell you, these boots ROCK! On my first day of wearing these, we went snow shoeing. I wore my usual hiking socks of toe liners and a regular thickness hiking sock pair. I knew these boots are insulated so I didnt wear ski socks or anything that warm. The comfort was impeccable. The warmth was perfect (not too hot and no cold spots). I kept gushing to my GF about how surprised I was able to find my perfect pair of boots from Keen on the 1st try! Wow. I wear a 15 in that other M brand and a 15 in these. Ill say true to size and runs wide in a good way. I have a larger than Avg toe width and these are perfect.

Great winter boot. I have worn these with warm socks for hours in -47 degree temps in Fairbanks, Alaska. My feet were warm and dry.
I have worn these boots snowshoeing, clearing my driveway, walking the dog, going to the grocery store, and to church all in the same day.
Warm, dry, nice height to protect from snow, great grip, stylish, and most of all comfortable. I dont want to take them off after coming in from the Arctic temps.
I have had zero issues with the bootlaces that others experienced.
Highly recommend this boot.

But I was expecting them to be more of a Greenish Olive color. Mine are almost Black.

So far so good. Didn't hurt my feet. Wore them in single digits and feet stayed warm. Not been in cold weather and snow yet for real test. So far like them alot. Have had Keens in the past and held up good.

These are the best pair of boots I have ever owned. I just finished a 10 hour day in the wet snow and my feet are dry as well as comfortable and warm. I have owned other Keen boots and have been satisfied with them, but these are the best by far.

The sole one these boots started to peel off within a week of owning them. I work outside in the winter, so I need a boot that is warm. Wouldnt recommend these for more than casual hiking.
